Thanks Rob. I'm 99% sure I'm using the correct VIN on mine. I went through the virtual chat on Cadillac's website using what I believe the full VIN is, and it gave me the standard congrats your car is built message.
So maybe Steve & I have something else going on causing them to not show up...
It's certainly possible. My full VIN matches yours aside from that 9th digit and the last bit of the sequence. So if I've got the wrong number, I'm not off by much. I may try and get it directly from Cadillac later.
I'm using the full VIN that my dealer provided to me anyways. I've not received it directly from Cadillac, so it's possible I didn't use the right number.
Or more likely I havent entered the bayed status yet?
I think that will look good and not gaudy. I also went with black paint for a more classic look, but I did add red calipers and bronze wheels to spice it up. I'd like a set of the normal polished wheels to go back and forth between though.
I think Cadillac did a great job offering a variety...
Embargoes are standard practice on about any release anymore. This isn't strange or a sign of weakness. Just part of the process. It allows the journalists to blast out information all at once. It's viewed as a win/win for the manufacturer and media not having to rush a story to be the...
I think user CT4-V Blackwing hit the nail on the head above. Nobody has advanced out of QC yet, or the codes would advance to 4000 or 4100 I think?
Cengland had the very first VIN on the forum, so they'll probably be the first person to see advance. Was hoping we would see that this week...
VIR's calendar marked private today as well. Would some of the journalists or influencers be on the course today?
Either today or next week, there may be an embargo on the release for a bit. I'd wager we'll see videos soonish (inside of 2 weeks).
Got my insurance quote today. CT5 BW as secondary vehicle was $678 for the year. They left some wiggle room for changes as they don't recognize the VIN yet, but if it holds, its a good result.
I was considering going with some variant of "LONG LIV" or something to that effect.
I'll probably stick with the more economical and anonymous randomness the state wants to give me, but that's what I'd do if I were going personalized.
Sorry I should have clarified. This is just for my locality. They are currently undergoing an e911 system update which required changing a significant number of addresses within the city, one of which is mine. Street name is the same but the house number changed.
My dealer suggested leaving...
That does make me mildly paranoid. We are undergoing a 911 address update currently so all the house numbers are being updated and packages are going everywhere. Hopefully I'll be able to track it down whenever they do go out.
I'm holding off until the VIN hits. Think the last time I asked them for a quote, they wouldn't give me one without it.
Halfway figure there'll be some issues with it being a new trim anyways.
