Disagree on the lack of feel, but agree on the engine. Although it is a more special engine it just didn't ever feel that way to me- it doesnt really reward revving and sounds decent at best (in fairness I think it sounds better than the m2).
So for me the engine robbed it of some of the...

Given your user name, interesting/cheap option could be a 1 series BMW. My friend uses a 128 as his track car. He's modified suspension and brake components, but the naturally aspirated 6 has been very reliable/cheap to maintain. It's light and has enough power to be fun (still more than the 4...
I think it's those intangibles that are drawing me to the mustang. I really have no specific complaints about my car other than sound- just something missing for me. I enjoy the car but it seems to lack a certain edge for me. Interesting to hear the preference for the 5.0 even over the LT4
Sorry y'all, finalized a deal on a new '24 dark horse. Only option was the dark matter gray paint, and I was able to get 3500 off MSRP to take it down to ~$59k. Like the BWs you get a track event on a new DH so that was an added bonus. Shipping up to me next week
Can't shake the V8 bug so had...
LOL yeah aiming for $58k on a vehicle with $66k MSRP. 4k miles, certified pre-owned. Not quite there yet though- down to 60k, originally listed for 63k
I'm working a couple lightly used ones that are certified and come with a 7yr/100k powertrain for $10k or so off MSRP. If I could be in a position where it's an even trade it becomes more appealing. Otherwise agree I can't justify the cost of it new even with the big discounts.
Good call on...
Yeah I have a while to go for that, was just think about it today when I was putting my son in his seat how challenging it'd be to try and lean back in a coupe and get him buckled while he's doing toddler stuff and moving all over the place
I like the Camaro, probably ZL1 over 1LE given the price points, but I'm hesitant on the visibility . Sitting in the mustang felt better as a DD for me, more comfortable/spacious in a way
Oh man, I like that color too. The 19+ are priced a solid 10-15k higher for equivalent mileage so it's tough. Why'd you end up selling, CT5 BW fit the bill?
Thanks for the feedback. I enjoy going to redline and actually being rewarded for it vs the drop off in some of the forced induction cars. I haven't had a NA car in a while so that would also be part of the different feel is be after, with the gt350 being the pinnacle of that. Still a little...
Haha haven't got to spreadsheet level yet but maybe some day. Appreciate the perspectives. If my kid was a little older I'd go Corvette too, and if I could swing a CT5 that'd be even better!
Yeah good call, I basically only take my 2.5 yr old son to cars and coffee in it lol I just had a daughter and figured I'd probably want to bring the whole fam eventually but we have my wife's car for family stuff
