Does A Radar Detector Help Anymore?

Waze and V1 for me. I have like 6 V1's (3 gen 2) in my cars so I don't have to swap them back and forth. It's not infallible, but valuable information for me when picking through traffic at higher rates of speed.

    Victory Driven

Is it true V-club members get a 10% discount on the book?

    New Lyriq-V review

Yeah, but what is the cost for miles over the 20,000? Let's say it's 30 cents/mile, another 10k miles is $3k. Not chump change, but it's also another 10,000 miles. Also, if you need and negotiate extra miles when you are working the deal at the front end, you can normally 'buy' them for...

    New Lyriq-V review

Yeah, I have a '24 S Plaid and it's a punch to the stomach at WOT. Like my wife and kids go "My tummy hurts" after a few second full-throttle blast. :D That said 3.3 isn't anything to sneeze at. It's in the upper half of EV speed for sure. Very fast for a luxury SUV too. Imagine smoking...

    New Lyriq-V review

Looks great and great deal again! I like the 3.325% on the lease cost itself. That is fair. If my wife ever needs to get out of her Model Y (family hauler/beater), I'd look at something like this. Congrats again!

    New Lyriq-V review

Wow, guess you don't have to pay tax in NJ? In TX, you can have to pay 6.25% sales tax on the entire purchase price of the vehicle even for a lease. That's a great deal for 2 years to beat around in a nice EV SUV.

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

The DCT in the C8 has had issues, but it's still a fairly small percentage. In the 24+ cars, you don't need to add the extra oil anymore for track work. They redesigned the case or something to that effect. I've had no issues with my '24 so far with anything, even squeaks/rattles. It's been...

What deal did you get on the ZDX?

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

If you don't need the back seat, do it. I have a '24 Z51 C8 and my '22 CT5BW six-speed. If I never needed more room, I'd happily daily the C8. Just get mag ride (as you said you will do) and the performance exhaust and in tour mode, it is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive. As others...

    New Lyriq-V review

I don't think they've allowed independent drives yet. Reasonable EV SUV that is quick when put in V-Max mode, but nothing earth shattering in the EV realm. 3.3 0-60 can be achieved by a bunch of EV's.

    The German Tank Problem

I haven't had enough coffee to fully decipher your post, but I believe the 86 in your 86-0223 means it's the 223rd SIX-SPEED CT5-V Blackwing. 81 is the 10-speed automatic. Pretty sure that messes up your formula a little bit.

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

Hey Jeff, we have a similar car background. I've had a ton of cars the past several years from the BRZ, Corolla GR, new Type S Integra, then on the other end an Escalade V, C6 ZR1, Ford Lightning, TRX, C8 Z51, Model S Plaid (new '24 I just got), etc. I've also driven the 4BW predecessor in...

    Attempted Theft in Austin

Bunch of mouth breathing libtards in Austin that let the criminals run rampant. Sad state of affairs there. Sorry about your trouble, Brad.

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

Yeah, you suck, 1evil55. :D :D Seriously, a V wagon with six-speed, a detuned LT7, and maybe AWD (weight for some traction) and people would be KICKING the doors down at Cadillac dealers nationwide.
  18. Q

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

I don't deny being slightly interested in the new M5 wagon, but it's a FATTY and will feel very isolated. But, for running the kids to soccer practice and bombing to work on the highway, it'll be a machine. That said, keeping my 5BW forever.

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

So, I had a '24 GR Corolla that I traded in for the '24 Type S. IF, and I mean IF, you don't need much interior or cargo room (i.e. kids and crap in the back), seriously consider the GR. It was MORE fun to drive around town than my Type S. That turbo triple, six-speed, AWD traction, bulldog...

Multi-topic thread on retirement and second car

I'm 47 with two younger boys so not retiring anytime soon unfortunately. So, I had a '24 Acura Integra Type S for many months to complement my 5BW, two Vettes, truck, and Acura. haha. So, that was the crux of the problem. I drive my truck during the week (work) and on the weekends, I had two...
