Ahhh, yes, the STS V. Very rare, most dealers didn't even know about them. I passed (sadly) on several back in 2014-2016 when I had the chance. Now, I think it's too late. I'd still love a CT6 V, but IDK, is it too late for them too? It's getting hard to find CTS V's and CT6 V's that are lower...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I wouldn't worry about the BW blowing up too much. What do we know of? 10? 20? Call it 30 for fun. It wouldn't stop me from buying one. The 6.2L in the trucks/suvs, that would....and has....stopped me from buying one. Based on comments from different sources and dealer techs, there are close to...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

You don't tariff a country who is a great ally and trade partner (i.e. Canada) because 1% of immigration and fentanyl come across the border unless you're a moron or like @bamagrad03 said, you want something. On another note, I think the Supra is pretty cool. I've tried to talk my wife into...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

China will continue to get the nicely refreshed XT5, XT6 and the CT6 as they are built there. I think the XT4 is just plain dead. I honestly don't know if the CT5 is built in China, or built here and shipped over.

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I'm sure there will be a 2026 CT5 (maybe a CT4). The article doesn't mention Blackwing production, but that's not surprising. Production got off late, so they may delay 2026 BW production a month or two. I would think 26 is it, especially with the EV changeover Cadillac is hell bent on. With the...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

Not to go too political, but I read an article that said if you buy a car with parts and piece from CAN or MX, the prices will go up around $2000 average. If it's built entirely in CAN or MX, figure about $8000 average. Experts think this could crush the car business from sales to manufacturing...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

Not for nothing, but I read an article last week about the 6.2L in GM trucks/suvs. Tech at a dealer said they have 4 waiting for engines, and their latest customer was something like 2800th in line for an engine. They are on national backorder. They are making them as fast as they can. Many...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

@CDNBW ...Keep an eye on this. April is normally late in the production year (but GM being GM, who knows). Much longer and you could slip into 2026 MY causing even later delivery.

    In a dilemma… Help.

At least you got the colors right 🙄

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

IIRC, at first the center belt was black. At some point, perhaps MY 2023, when that option was selected, it was changed to all belts are red. Tan belts are available only with tan seats and IIRC always had the center as tan. Maybe that's why red was changed.

    Victory Driven

Finally got mine from Amazon this past Saturday. Big, heavy book with tons of photos, lots of info. Can't wait to start reading it. Side note, the author owns a second gen CTS-V

    Video Recorder

Here's what's weird. 2025's have RPO MCR as above and it lists RPO UV2 HD surround vision, but it doesn't list RPO XVR Surround Vision Recorder, as it does for prior years. So my guess is, they have a SD slot that works with the radio to play songs? HD surround vision is for the cameras for...

    Video Recorder

True, but dash cams look forward. The Surround Recorder did 360* so it would cover you for rear ends or side impacts, plus if you approached the car while parked.

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

@beamon .... I was going to mention that too, but isn't that ALL 2025 BW's? There's another thread about that

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

Seems like you give up a lot with this great super cruise feature. You lose blind side monitoring which is ridiculous. So a brand new $100K 2025 car doesn't have it, but a $30K Kia does? And almost every car sold today. Sad. You also lose the "performance" steering wheel. You still get a V Mode...

    Video Recorder

While my comment was based in sarcasm, thanks for your explanation, which is over my pay grade. Point is, you know it's most likely money verses technology.

    Video Recorder

This is ridiculous. Decontenting has been a thing for years, but really? What are they saving, 12 bucks a car? A nice feature to have, especially for dealer visits or valet parking....or heaven forbid, an accident.

    The German Tank Problem

Don't forget the "special editions", especially in the 4BW. Those were different VINs all together. Not sure about the 20 hand built 5BW's or the 120th anniversary editions.

    CT5-V Blackwing Extended Warranty Pricing

@MatthewAMEL ...that's about what he quoted me when I bought mine last year. Prices go up as time AND miles go by, every multiple of 12K miles the price goes up. Not to mention GM, and others, raise the prices at least once or twice a year, usually around April or October. If you're buying a...
