What chemicals are you using for your hand wash? If somehow tire/wheel non-acid or acid cleaner got on these trim pieces, I can see this happening.

Reviving this thread a little. I am really in the market for a catback solution for this car, but I still don't think there is one as far as I can tell. I know AWE did a sign up to see about interest in it, but nothing yet. Corsa made one for the CT5V, but again not for the CT4V. Anyone know of...

We have a very similar thread going and for us folks, we brought it in and turned out it was either a throttle body or turbo issue. In my case they replaced both.

I think the thread just reflects what the individual wants in a car For 5BW vs 4BW, M6 vs A10, its all preference based on what you want. When I talk about my car choice (4BW 6MT) I use a microwaved steak vs a pan seared steak example. Sure, the microwave is cheaper, faster to heat the steak up...

I can confirm, they replaced my throttle body first and the noise was still there. Mine was also the left turbo and it went away.
