Why are you guys stuck on AS4? Grab DSW06+, they're a better cold weather performance AS tire than the AS4 and they're in stock. I used AS4 on my last vehicle and I was not impressed with them nor will I ever buy them again.
Regardless of whether you want to pay more than MSRP or not, you are buying a product from them. You should not feel like your inconveniencing them just because you want to know the likelihood of that product being sold to you. You're asking them to do their job at that point. You need to be...
I've driven 987s and 997s manuals and they aren't any good. I've driven 981s and 991gts manuals and they are good, big improvement especially the 991. None are as good as the manual in the 4bw for what I look for in a manual. Perhaps the 981 gt4 is better than the 991gts but I haven't driven one.
Ask them. Ask them what place in line you are and how many '22 5BW they brought in. If the number sounds bad then call other dealerships, do the same thing. Get in line at any dealerships that will do MSRP and have good history with the vehicle that fits your time line. If you're diligent...
Keep in mind that when that post was made the actual pricing on '23 options wasn't known. GM also price bumped the carbon packages quite drastically, $3600. It's now $10,600 to buy the carbon packages.
Sorry, stock. My initial post was in response to the cars handling in the winter not issues with the width of the wheels in the OP. Figured I should clarify.
I like the new online config tool a bit better than the previous version. I did notice something odd specifically with the 2023 CT5-V RWD non BW model though. If you try to build this car and you pick any other color besides the default orange it will force a selection box for 2 near $4k...
I know after seeing one at the track in the morning and through the day that Rift looks warmish in the sun but a bit cooler in no sun. It doesn't look like the render though. BMW's older Mineral White would have a grey tint with no sun but it still never looked as grey as that render.
It's a bit early still for winters to be in stock for some brands. Hakkapeliitta R3 for real winters and Michelin Alpin PA4 for performance winters are still sold in 255/35/18. Probably won't see them for at least another 4 to 6 weeks though.
I run the R3 in a square 255 setup on the 4. If you need a real winter tire for the driving you do it's great. No issues last winter in anything I encountered.
That's up to you. I can tell you that I'm getting about -2.4 to -2.5 front camber with just the adjustment at the knuckle. Which is more than enough for me.
