Here is what the app shows me. No luck with retrieving a diagnostic report through onstar, latest one is from 1/15. Will likely clear codes and see if they return.
Upon start up leaving work, CEL popped on. Scanned the codes when I got home:
p2b49
p3177
p3184
Car is bone stock, 7k miles, and drives perfectly fine. Nothing is coming up, so I’m assuming these aren’t very common codes? Curious if anyone has seen these before.
I’ve seen them had for much cheaper than that. But I guess this is the problem.. only able to source it through a dealer which lacks the online 30%+ discounts?
So after months of searching, it seems most parts sites do not show the 5BW front carbon lip available. Has anyone had luck ordering and receiving from a specific vendor?
I currently have the Exhibition of Speed front splitter, which is a perfectly built piece. Just looking to give the factory...
Surprised that the dealer took this on. I’m assuming they outsourced a pro detailer for this? Not saying the detailers at a dealership are incapable of wet sanding, but I think the detailers at a dealership are incapable of wet sanding. Doing it right would entail using a paint thickness meter...
The GT350 has probably held my attention longer than any other car, like you, since 2016. Took a good friend to pick up one of the first ones in our area back in 2015. Great experience, and I’ve been lusting them since.
Would love to put one next to my 5BW. The N/A flat plane has to be an...
Yeah not really sure where to take this. I hear you. And I agree on the luxury ride. I can tell you’re on some anti-BMW campaign, and that’s great. There are plenty of things I dislike about the brand, primarily its culture/marketing, but the M car in any form has been the benchmark for sports...
Not sure if you’re getting your wires crossed with another M5 variant, but it’s actually quite a special car. Just about every reviewer/magazine has marked it down as the greatest sedan ever made.
“The point is?” Lol, weird response, but I’ll bite.
That’s my reply to why I love the M5CS. So that’s the point.
I’m an M car fanatic, and the M5CS is the kind of them all. That’s another point.
Why? As in the M5CS? The 5BW has plenty of power IMO. I couldn’t imagine having more, considering it’s a daily. I feel like it would be a handful.
The M5CS just seems to be the perfect sedan with AWD, still a V8. However, it’s an auto, which sucks. The M5 can be managed easily with much more power.
Would have loved to experience a supercharged E9x. Assuming it lost that glorious induction noise though?
My ownership was pretty low drama as well. IACV and throttle actuators replaced. Car was on original rod bearings, so maybe time would tell (I only had it till 40k miles).
M cars will always be my true love. Without a doubt one of the most incredible branded cars on the road.
I hear you on the 4BW. I was very close to getting the 4, for multiple reasons. The 5 is most definitely a handful and I rarely have the opportunity to completely open her up, and I live...
I realized you asked about the E90, not the G80, sorry!
Sold that back in 2016 due to work. Wanted a vehicle I didn’t mind beating up (military utilizing range roads).
Since then, complete regret. If I knew what they would fetch today, I would have never sold it. It was AW over Fox Red, 6MT...
Primarily, numbness. As a daily, it was fantastic. The car just lacked character. However, it was an absolute monster, and gave me a little more confidence compared to the 5BW. The 5BW requires a lot more work and patience, especially being a manual. The G80 just felt like the car was driving...
