I used Redline fluid for the same reason on my previous ZL1 1LE and I thought it made it better, especially in the cold. It didn’t completely get rid of the problem, but it was better.

I’m not a drag racer, how would it help? It’s different from line lock so it wouldn’t work for a burnout. Sitting at the lights with it on with your foot hovering over the gas?

It’s actually a pretty nice feature. You can let off the brake while still in D and then just tap the gas to move again. Wish my ‘Vette had it. I’m guessing manuals don’t have it for obvious reasons.

It’s a feel thing, the definitely feel down market compared to the Germans. But, I enjoy driving this more than any of my German cars except my 6 MT Cayman GTS 4.0, which obviously isn’t fair. I agree with @1Evil55 100%. And to add to that, I’ll take a down market interior at this price point...

I know you won’t like this, but that’s GM (Ford and Dodge also). It’s why they cost significantly less than the competition from BMW and other German products. I agree, it sucks but it is what it is.

Did OP ever explain why they took delivery? I get the disappointment would be brutal after waiting so long for the car, but I can’t imagine taking/accepting delivery of a new car in that condition. Seems OP went dark to and never posted what the final resolution was unless I missed it.

Did they switch to Google infotainment in the 25 BWs? That’s in one of only annoyances with my Z06. Love the 23 BW system much better and it’s way less buggy. I couldn’t give up my C8 Z06 (unless I had to of course), it’s such an experience over nearly anything else I’ve ever driven.

Did you get any compensation at all? If not, that is really crappy on GMs part. At minimum they should be giving extended warranties without being asked.

Blaming someone etc why the engine blew is a moot point IMO. You can blame the manufacturer, GM and the specific dealer in this case, for how poor they treat their customers when a problem like this arises.
