I completely agree. I purchased mine in early August 2022. Back then you could barely get any CT4V-BW and I wanted the CF1 & CF2 and PDR packages because I was going to track the vehicle. At that time most dealers were quoting $5K to $10K over MSRP. So am I surprised how quickly the market...
Once again, Mbar is spot on - "Spring Mountain is a ‘low’ speed technical track that isn’t so hard on brakes". Likely easier on brakes as well.
I checked my videos from SpringMountain (5 days total over 2 schools and a V-CLUB session). On the East track, I hit a max speed of 127MPH in a...
Hello PL69, I paid $1100 for the "suspension system" shock tower adjustment to be made. And I am still at -1.6. The dealer claimed that I need to purchase parts to gain additional camber. I keep hearing about a Knuckle adjustment, can you explain that process? Some other track folks stated...
Correct.
I have incorrectly used the term "Arrive and Drive".
I have done BMW "Track Days"; as well as SpringMountain, BMW, AMG, and Lexus "Driving Schools". I also did a BMW-sponsored Track Day at the Nurburgring.
I group all of these events as "arrive and drive", as in I am not bringing...
I have been gathering "data points" by attending track events this year with the CT4V-BW uisng the stock Michellin 4S tires.
My original OEM fronts lasted 3 track days and on my fourth day during the lunch break, I noted the chunking on the left front so I stopped. The first set was run on...
After my second track day using the EBC pads for track use, I concur with MBAR that these brake pads will be my "go to" brake pads, at least during track season. I might swap them out for the stock pads from NOV - MAR.
JUL 17 Track Session update.
The brake pad/rotor vibration issue seems to be resolved with the use of the EBC brack pads. After track season I will probably change back to stock pads.
Yes folks, I am obviously guilty here:
"A novice or intermediate driver can be a lot harder on tires/brakes than a more experienced one. Riding the brakes, overdriving the tires, & coming into corners too fast are all common."
I am getting over-confident, driving over...

So far, some squeal but not much. I did not have any noise on the stock pads. But I work from home and the EBC pads do not have much street use yet. Street stopping power in dry conditions is great, even though the pads are not up to temp - just regular suburban road driving mainly. I...
Last night I participated in a Cadillac V-Club Tech talk with brembo. They provided a lot of interesting information IMO. With regard to brake pads, the presented mentioned the following design factors that they need to balance:
(1) stopping power performance, (2) rotor wear, (3) dust (coming...
For the hood, the graphics are over the PPF. For the roof, the PPF only goes up to the sunroof, so they put the CF wrap on the roof first and then the PPF over. The sides do not have PPF, only the CF rocker panels.
The hood and side door graphics were custom designed and installed by Seven Wraps in Southampton, PA. I provided them with six different design ideas and they developed the final design.

Yes, confusion continues. The brake pad procedure references the use of the anti-seize compound and notes to check the Lubricant Sheet.
But the Lubricant sheet has bad info.
Reconfiguring the front struts.
The Chevy dealer charged me a ton of money for this. Technically is this a "one and done" type of work unless you want to go back to a stock alignment, and then you have to undo it. On top of the strut prep work, there is the actual alignment, which could...
The faux "Carbon Fiber" roof makes a big difference in how the car looks, at least for the CT4s that are dressed in White. It is too bad that Cadillac does not offer a CF 3 package - Carbon Fiber Roof.
