Looking at most of the Dyno charts that have been proliferating the forums, 12lbs psi seems to be the ECU limited peak output. However, TapoutTuning has a few things than can increase your boost pressure for higher performance.
Better man than me. Drove to family in south Jersey for the night then had to take the beltway and 95 home the next day... 430 miles by the time I got home. Set a timer every 5 mins to switch gears to vary the rpms
Promise all the bad feelings will go away with that first drive. This is arguably a small delay in the larger scheme of things. She's there, you've got eyes on. Looking at the snow you can't even drive it yet but you'll get it soon enough. Sounds like your dealer cares but they're hamstrung by...
Okay, Day 5, 501 miles on the clock now. Gripes consolidated:
1. No sun-glass holder. Might be an amazon solution (Old school visor clip or something)
2. Exterior handle unlock button. Why a button? My Ram 1500 had a sensor in the handle. Just worked so smoothly.
3. Memory seats aren't single...
This ^^ I cant remember if the EPB in the SS was automatic. I feel like it would automatically set once you turned the car off. I have twice now left the 4BW to warm up in the parking lot while taking the dog to do their business and realized I forgot to press the E-brake... Luckily, very flat lot.
Forreal. 400 miles back from picking it up off the lot and the bronze front wheels look grey/black now... Going to have those ceramic coated and hopefully cleaning isn't so bad.
Built in Nov22, Delivery late Jan23. Rift with no clear imperfections. I'll report back when my Ceramic guy takes a look but otherwise paint looked pristine. The sales guy patiently waited as I shined a high lumen flashlight against all the exterior body panels of the car looking for...
Have you figured it out since? You have to be in Track mode Race1/2 correct? V-Mode won't initiate LC/LL despite PTM settings right? Mine is 30 miles from engine break in. Have some time to go before I try either. Just taking notes!
Only complaints thus far:
1. Lack of sunglasses holder
2. Button on handle to unlock. My RAM spoiled me with the in-handle sensor. Put your hand in, pause, open. So slick. BUT, i do like the walk-away lock feature. Missed that from my SS.
Otherwise this is car is a dream and I love it
Sort of. They had this comprehensive and color coated excel spreadsheet that someone who worked at GM corporate must have put together. It was a direct citation of production numbers vice our voluntary registration
I wonder if like the SS forums someone down the road (with dealer login creds) will post the total build numbers. The SS guys always like to say their car is "14 of 127" but the options were only transmission (after '15-17) color, sunroof/slick, and spare/no spare.
I've only seen one other...
My BW and the gf's GR. Both brand new and almost broken in!
Day 2 of ownership and I'm sitting at 450 miles... It was a long and kinda fun/nerve racking drive from NJ/DE through DC towards VB 🤯
Believe it or not, several people honked/waved (and an outback tried to race me?) on the drive! I...
Only 4 months total. I got pretty lucky all around! Appreciate it, the car has plenty of go even during break in. I may or may not have confirmed you can get into about 8lbs of boost right at 4k rpm.. 😬 Yes '23! I'm taking the badge off though. Silver calipers. I was worried bronze on bronze...
@Rob thank you so much for what you do man. You are awesome! I don't know if you keep us sane or drive us crazy honestly but your work is certainly appreciated!
So to close the loop on my thread here for anyone lurking. I was expecting a 2/16/23 delivery date but had honestly just assumed that would get pushed to the right since my car had been sitting since Thanksgiving.
I left work on 1/25 and had several missed calls from my salesman (@Blackwing...
