Pic above at CMS is from a different one on the 16th. Just know it was a Subaru and not aware of any video. I forgot to look at it on the way out of the track last weekend but I might swing by to watch the one lap of America next week.
Good info from both of you. I'm learning along the way and decided its best to slow down with getting back on the track after Spring Mountain as there is plenty of time. I even learned a lot hanging out at a Lemons race last weekend. Lots of seasoned drivers and track instructors. Things like...
A bit off topic but checkout this recent post. There was also a non Cadillac car that was totaled recently at Carolina Motorsports park during an open track day. I wish track insurance was not so expensive for just one day.
They did go to the shorter track and I think we were mostly in the 1min 40secs. In the last class the esses were 6 quick left/right turns and very intense and fun but there were drivers that left the track early during the runs. They drove off on the track exit and not in the rocks I assume due...
These cars are not tinted so even when it is 70 degrees and sunny it can get hot in there. They do give you a sports bottle and plenty of filtered water so bring it in the car and use the door drink holder so its not in the way of your shifts. That said you are mostly only in the car for 20-30...
Cannot say enough good things about the Spring Mountain course. The facilities and staff are awesome. The experience is challenging and fun and you quickly see improvements by applying the feedback and instruction. I read the forums and the manual and still learned a good deal more about the car...
Class ends early around 4PM. I just drove back to Vegas and stayed one night in one of the MGM hotels near the airport where you can access a bunch of casino/hotels just walking around inside or take the tram. You can even watch a show that night. I was tired but its not that bad. Those not...
My first day was Sunday and it seemed to only be the Blackwing group and the car clubs on the track. Monday a couple Corvette classes showed up and there were a lot more people in the condos and clubhouse. It looks like they have 3 buildings with 15 or so rooms in each so its not a large amount.
Awesome videos and info, thanks. I'm in a class before yours I think. The option for the sound was super easy to find in PDR settings and I thought I had been through the options when I added the overlay early on but clearly I did not. Then at Daytona was the first time I exported the video and...
Looking ahead to next year

A few professional pics of Satin Steel CT4 from the Daytona Rolex car corral laps...
For the lightning lap they don't say what options were used to get to the base cost but that 4 was pretty much loaded Class: LL3 | Base: $67,515 | As Tested: $78,985
