BC Forged Wheels - CT5 Blackwing

My fault Sleepy! I think that picture is photoshopped! I was so excited until I called Paragon and Cody was not aware of any lowering available for the 5BW. I got off the call and zoomed in on the pic I posted and the tread on the tires is messed up. I am pretty sure it is photoshop! :hb I know...

BC Forged Wheels - CT5 Blackwing

Hello! I reached out to BC and they showed this same 5BW, but it looked like the owner lowered it. Can you help me confirm how much it was lowered? I am scared to lower and messing with the magride due to different spring rates and suspension geometry, but I love this stance. I may consider...

    Black Emblems

All the badges came part of the same set for $250. Not sure why the PN isn't working on any of the sites though. I think I am going to fill the "Blackwing" in to add a pop of color though. Other than that the set is really nice.

    Black Emblems

Nope, they are not covers they are the full emblems. Below are pictures of the top and bottom along with a few angles to appease your worries. I doubt a Chevy dealer would make "special" Cadillac parts. I did call the Chevy dealership to confirm the PN and was told anyone can call any GM...

    Black Emblems

These are OEM. It isn't the paint pooling it is the plastic cover over the the emblems. They look really good in person. i wish the "blackwing" was a little more pronounce with some form of color, but I will take it.

    Catch can install?

Can I upload videos on here. It will probably be easier to show using a video. Also if you watch Garage kings video on Youtube for the LT4 install it explains it all really well. High level there is an input port in the middle that comes straight from the PCV valve under the blower. There are...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Thanks for the thorough explanation! I may add these on along with using the quick jack. These will also keep other places the car is lifted from destroying the underbody. The rear is clearly not the lowest hanging part of the car, but the front looks like it is correct? Any issues with that...

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Well damn! Thank you both for hitting the easy button. I was scared to use the quick jack in this configuration due to weight distribution, and called Bendpak and they confirmed it is fine perpendicular. quick jack even has a video explaining that this is fine. I wish the lady I spoke to at...

    Catch can install?

Now your just showing off!! That engine bay is DOPE!! I haven't had to drain it yet, but it shouldn't be too bad. There is a simple valve to turn at the bottom of the elite catch cans. I would just have to put a cup under it to catch whatever comes out. My catch can on my ATS-V was similar...

    Catch can install?

The torque specs are tighten in sequence to 89 in/lbs two times. It is the same spec for both the blower cover and the blower itself. I am not sure if I can share screen shot of the sequence in the forum. I have heard sites get flagged for that, but let me know if I am wrong.

    Jacking up your Blackwing

Can anyone help me confirm if widening the rocker panel lift openings by about 1-2 inches on each opening is a bad idea? I have the quick jack 5000SLX with the extensions (needed the extensions for my prior ATS-V), but the 5BW's lift openings are too wide at about 63 inches min. The quick jack...

    Black Emblems

I am not sure if anyone knew this but GM makes the entire gloss black V badge, CT5 and Blackwing set as one PN, 85104909. Tt looks great, and matches the factory gloss black perfectly. The Chevy dealership near me had it listed at $250 which isn't too bad considering it comes with 3 V badges, 1...

    Catch can install?

Yeah with any direct injected engine I would not go without a catch can. Put on on my ATS-V and same as you had about 1-2 ounces of oil every oil change. I would have about 2-3 ounces from one track day. I attached pics of the almost finished product. I need to clean up the routing of the lines...

    Catch can install?

Yes Steve is USELESS! I had to point him in the direction of the kit I wanted and it still took forever for him to get it all aligned. In the end the item number I purchased was E2X-A1DVP20. Hopefully this will help you get exactly what you need. Don't let him talk you into the clean side...

    Catch can install?

I just completed the Elite Engineering E2X catch can install for my 5BW a week ago, and with only 1,300 miles the SC intake was already covered with oil. I am doing a 1,500 mile break-in (Yes I know it is only 500 miles. I'm anal, and plan to track it) and have not broke 4k RPM yet. Even with...
