As I plan my ever more likely permanent move away from GM, I've been thinking about taking the Blackwing money and 'wasting' it on something like this:
I don't need a sedan anymore, and this would be an interesting option- even if it's not the canyon carver I wanted. OK, it's not even close...
Seems like we've now got production scheduled out through April, and I thought I saw a May production end date somewhere. So, my question is: At what point will it be clear that there will be no more adds for the production run, and the rest of us are just SOL?
I mean, apart from the sound- how "V" can it be? With 3+ tons of mass to push around, I'm betting the specs aren't really going to be on the same level as say, the Track Hawk. I'd expect it to be at least 500 lbs heavier and 2 feet longer.
Sure, plenty of grunt off the line, but I'm looking at...
It's been a while since I thought about it. You might be right- it could have been just the mag ride that was US only. Maybe the parking system?
I just recall that something substantial from the SS package was not available in Aus for some reason, which was sort of odd when you think about...
It's probably a very good opinion, and I'd add that the sensor in question is shared across like 10 different models, so to answer @DustinEarnhardt they'd deliver an entire fleet of Blazers with 4 holes in the bumper before they'll let a single Caddy leave undressed- whether it's a 5BW or a base...
Not quite- my SS is properly configured to require someone to actuate the clutch during the process... Or so I've been told; as I only use the parking button to turn off the annoying beeping while backing into the garage. I guess I get too close to the wall for Bitchin' Betty's comfort.
That would be my preference, shield on the front, wings in the back, no other badges.
(Unless they bring back the little GM square behind the front wheels- that really classed up the joint.)
The Sunfire was so much nicer looking. (OK, usually- some years you just couldn't polish a turd) It really showed Pontiac's design chops over the Chevy team.
I've never had the option to live anywhere long enough to establish a relationship with a dealer, and I've not long had the financial resources for it be a Caddy dealer even if I had. But hopefully you can see how being locked out of the club because I'm not already a member of the club would...
Very much so. I've been very open about that and have come to wonder if Caddy is watching this board and cares very little about their customers, or they're not here and none of it matters.
I don't really care about fast; I care about fun, engagement, and oxford commas. (not sure what manuals...
I understand the order process, and I understand that while I sit in 1100 hell, another possible slot for me has been handed over to dealer inventory. Cadillac owns that responsibility- they could build our cars in the order they were received, instead of devoting half of each production run to...
Seriously- if you're not planning to keep these orders, at least flip them to manuals before you go, and hold them until it can't be changed! Do your part for car culture.
The world has no need on any more slushboxes than it already has.
