Right but the sweet spot is <12k miles and as close to end of warranty.
And I disagree that it adds anything to resale values. Especially not compared to the cost of the warranty itself. And yes +1 on todd!
I wouldn't bother with an extended warranty until 3 months before warranty expires or 12k miles at the very least. 3 months before original warranty ends is when you become ineligible for extended warranty and 12k miles is when there's a price jump on the extended warranty.
The extended...
To be fair this is not a tesla.
There isn't much of a checklist on what to look for before you take delivery. It's a brand new car and in most cases if the dealer is competent it will be a perfect new car :)
Also, I might be considering selling my 2 option(electric blue + mid tier performance seats) with 7K miles in the bay area. So let me know if you're interested.
You and I have been long term proponents of low option/no option blackwings(particularly ct4).
The ct4 blackwing value proposition disappears after 70k at the very most. At msrp prices less than that used values are just fine.
They could have accomplished both. Right now it’s all jekyll and no Hyde noise wise inside the car.
And ps no- I’m not asking for dodge sounds. A Lexus lc500 sounds spectacular inside the car while still having options to quiet it down when needed.
My problem is I might have to spend more...
THIS was my biggest disappointment when I test drove the 5bw hoping to upgrade from the 4BW. It's way too quiet and muted inside the car. I want it to be as loud inside as it is outside. Also for folks saying you can't have it both ways that's precisely what the valved exhaust is for.
The 4BW...
Really? I test drove one when we were getting our RS3 and the S4 felt very meh. I don't think its anywhere in the league of the blackwing. Felt closer to a regular CT4-V.
I am seeing roughly 15% depreciation for both the blackwings (Both 2023s, both lightly specced)
Both 23's manuals with under 10k miles CT4 is worth about 55K trade in(65K MSRP) and the CT5 is worth around 85K trade in(100K MSRP).
All I'm saying is the 4 is not doing any worse than the 5. Now if...
