I kind of figured that must be it, but with the poor lighting and resolution and lack of contrast and my old eyes and all the pollen in the air, I can't really make it out as an Omega sign. Ω
I thought that one of the benefits of CCB was better performance - little to no fade - on the track. Seems like you're kind of defeating the purpose if you go to steel. But I get the cost factor, fer sure.
Many moons ago when I campaigned a Corvette on track, I had some Brembo brakes up front...
According to his/her profile, they went with the '25.
I hate it when people ask for advice, tell us they'll let us know the decision, and then don't bother.
My two cents, which is worth about twice what you paid for it:
I run the PS4S tires year-round, and I've done the same on other high performance cars. They are great tires and as long as it's dry they work in the cold just fine (presuming that you act responsibly). I believe that the days of...
I suspect that he was trying to be funny.
I'm wondering why you removed the dipstick and didn't put it right back in, but that's rhetorical really, no need to explain.
If it makes you feel any better, I was changing the oil on the wife's BMW this weekend and since BMW changed everything...
My hatred of locking lug nuts come from when I was a wee tot, looking to buy a used Jaguar. The dealer wanted to put new tires on it, but they couldn't find the key for the nuts and had to break the wheels to get them off of the car. So four new wheels, which I didn't like, and which bumped up...
There are soooooo many opinions on proper engine break-in. Often race engines are broken-in on the dyno, right at redline. Others are just driven (raced) immediately after assembly. They live a very hard, but also very short life. That's one argument. Another is to take it easy on something...
So, many years ago I had this absolutely gorgeous Porsche Panamera S (other than being a Panamera). I got a lot of compliments on it, perhaps more than any other car I've ever owned, including 911s, Corvettes and yes, even the Cadillac.
It had sat at the dealer for almost a year. I asked the...
@Newt is correct, my bad, my apologies.
FWIW, I was on track last weekend in my B58 powered Supra and I kinda drag-raced an M2C up the back straight of VIR... he had a faster entry speed than I did (modified suspension and track tires) but yet was unable to pull away much more than 1 additional...
Well, I kept it a long time for me (18 months) but for most people, that's not very long I'm sure. By the time I had decided to get rid of it, we were in the pandemic so that it made it a bit more challenging. The first guy that bought it had the purchase delayed d/t lockdown issues with his...
I'm no expert here (duh, says everyone) but it appears that it's really not very difficult to obtain a CT4 these days. Go for the buyback if you can.
And yes, it's a shame that you've had to go through all of this, and I feel your pain. Best of luck!
I think I can speak for everyone here when I request that you stay that way. Dressed, that is. ;)
OP, if they do deny the claim (as I would expect that they would) any decent reconditioning person can fix that. Your dealer should be able to recommend someone, as they do that kind of stuff...
I'm late responding to this - it was the first I'd heard (read) about your issues. I hope you are continuing with the recovery and are feeling better!
When we bought the money pit, it had a RaceDeck-variety floor system, which looked really cool but was very dirty and had not been maintained...
OK, so first of all, the E46 is probably the best 3 series chassis that BMW ever did, and very possibly the best one that they ever did, period (the E39 M5 still holds a special place in my heart). I've owned them all.
I had a 2018 OG M2, correctly equipped with the manual and the shifter in...
Chevy continued to do this nonsense into the C7 generation. Just FYI, since I'm wearing my pedantic hat this morning. LOL
My general rule is that the engine is lugging if it starts to knock or exhibit some roughness. I haven't felt that in the BW in 6th, as long as I'm at 60 or better and am...
I'm not going to repeat what was written above except perhaps to say do it, you won't regret it!
On my 15 mile commute I average 19 MPG, and I've seen well over 24 (IIRC) on long highway drives. Zero issues on the long drive.
