I used to see large discounts when I was looking for my 4BW. Most times it was GM employee/family discounts that actually didn't apply to to the Blackwings. Unfortunately even some dealers didn't know that. I know when we sat down to buy our car the sales manager could not enter in our GM...
When we bought our first house, my wife and I agreed that anything less than a 2-car garage was a non-starter.
Our current neighborhood HOA mandated that garage doors could not face the street for any new builds. The privacy when we have our garage doors open is one of my favorite features.
1 day down and it's a humbling experience riding with an instructor. These cars are way beyond my novice skills but it certainly makes me want to seek out local track days.
Made it out here but the drive from LV to SM in a Camary in need of a serious balance sucked. The on-site condo is pretty nice and hearing cars tear around the track from the balcony is a bonus!
I always did the typical Blizzak/X-Ice on my last car but we just don't get significant snowfall to justify a true winter/snow tire. In a pinch, we have an SUV. I have the Contis ready to be installed next week after a trip to Spring Mountain.
I plan on swapping out the OEM PS for an a/s tire. Don't need a winter tire because we are in SW OH, we get maybe 3 days of significant snow. I work from home but office is only a few miles away and have an SUV if needed
Conti are better in rain, Michelins handle better. Price for a set is...
Briefly when I couldn't get an allocation (4BW) up here in OH. They were pretty responsive but I was able to get an allocation and place an order right after I talked to Sewell. I think a lot of people in this forum have had positive outcomes with them. They charge MSRP and I think they drop...
Sewell Cadillac usually gets allocations but they are in Texas. I'm not sure if there is a similar dealer in SoCal. I don't think this is the final year for the 5BW since they just did a minor facelift and interior revision. The 4BW's days may be numbered.
Our youngest is away at school and always drives my car when he's home. He did promise me a nice car in exchange when he makes it big! Having the kids home (and killing it at school) is all the Xmas gift I need.
My dealership (SW OH) is just a general GMC dealer. I had them do an oil change and the update at the same time and everything was completed within a few hours without issue. The techs were all really surprised I let my 18 yo drive it there for service.
Civic Type R or the Acura version? I've heard he Corolla GR is a lot of fun but Toyota has denied some warranty claims for tracked cars. I would think the M2 would be a great choice.
