Why choose a CT4 BW over a new BMW M3? Sincerely asking.

For the record, I am a GM V8 with a stickshift guy since the 1990s.
Love my stick shift SS Sedan daily driver and Corvettes, and am shopping for a CT5 BW with a stick.

With that said, with everything we all know about the new BMW M3 in the Summer of 2023, why would anyone choose a CT4 BW over the M3?
If you own a CT4 BW, why did you choose it over the M3?

I'm sincerely asking, and hope we all can have a polite and intelligent discussion in here.

Price sure, but I haven't heard about G80s burning oil when driven hard.

If you want max straight line speed, the G80 is the way. Easy to modify to silly levels.

If you want to drive a manual, the BW is the way.

I chose my CT4 BW over BMW M/MK5 Supra because the manual is miles better than BMW offerings. Test drove all three in the same day. G80 BMW shifter and clutch feel is awful. If going auto then I'd choose the BMW.

A very good opinion^ Plus I know it's not on a spec sheet, but I like how, atleast in my area, I see 20 M's and 3-4 supras for every Blackwing I'd say

That's one of the reasons I liked the BW more at first, and then I drove it and it was game over. I loved the tech in the M3 but driving the Blackwing has always solidified it as my favorite "practical" car I've ever driven.

The M2 CS is the only BMW I'd consider buying if buying new.

Edit: Or the M5 CS, but I'm poor.

I actually ordered an 2023 M3 and drove one, but I just didn't feel connected to the car. The steering felt numb, and the whole experience was a little too clinical for my taste. It's an incredible car and I completely understand why people buy them, but it just didn't give me the engagement I was looking for.
The other issue was price. If you're comparing an M3 manual to a CT4-V Blackwing, I can see the appeal of the BMW. But once you start looking at the Competition models, you're getting close to CT5-V Blackwing money. At that point, I'd rather spend a little more and get the CT5-V Blackwing which I did .
