I saved a bunch and bought a Pagani. Yeah, I can honestly say I own one. I'll be honest, it's a really cool watch for under $200. Not sure it will last as long as my 126500 but who cares? Putting it next to a buddies Spirit of Big Bang, they're still impressive for entry level. For a skeleton, automatic movement I couldn't be much happier.

I have a 2026 5BW. White with stealth PPF. Otherwise stock (plus Corsa exhaust) for now.

Watches have always been a hobby as well. I have a few Rolex right now, but I’ve had a lot of watches over the years including over a dozen Panerai and, most recently, an AP Royal Oak Chrono (which I have since moved). The below are a few of my favorite shots of my current collection.

I have purchased from 3 different Rolex AD's and I still can't get what I want without waiting years, so I have been purchasing other brands now. Kind of sick and tired of Rolex BS!

Just buy on the open market like everyone else. I had 3, sold one and eventually will sell the other two. I wear for a couple years and sell, buy something else. I think about it like I’m leasing, not buying. I’m not a Rolex fanboy and enjoy many different watches. Rolex doesn’t have many models I would buy anyway.

What's an AD? Is that like a place that claims to sell Rolex watches but you never actually get one? I tried that route and realized the amount of time wasted waiting, I could have paid a little more on the grey market and actually got what I wanted, when I wanted. Waiting for the dealer could last a lifetime and never get what you hoped for. I love hearing stories from people that buy a few pieces from the local AD they didn't really want but bought in hopes of getting to the top of the list. How dumb. If I'm going to waste my money, I'm going to waste it on what I actually wanted the first time.

I will say when the time came that a Rolex entered my world of actually wanting it wasn't the worst wait. Rolex does not hit the mark with me on many if not most of their watches.

The Sea Dweller just happened to hit all the right notes. I asked my AD about it and he said more then likely It would be about a year he thought. That worked with my plans at the time and I thought no more of it. I guess it was about 5 months and he told me hey I can sell the one I have to you if you want it early.

I did. Im done with Rolex.

When I see a watch I want I purchase it and some of my go to favorite watches are the ones I can go get that day. Just last week I was with my awesome wife shopping and as always I stop in at all my favorite watch brands, so I went in the Omega boutique (wearing a Rolex) and less than 10 minutes I found a cool looking Seamaster Aqua Terra so I purchased it and then went to lunch...

I like to be able to go to an AD and purchase THAT day and not have to wait, kiss someone's butt, or purchase thousands of dollars of crap I didn't want in the first place...

Here is my newest watch: Omega Aqua Terra 220.32.41.21.03.001..... I absolutely love the band on this watch as it's probably the most comfortable I have on any watch.
