CT5-V Anderson Composites Hood Installed

CT5-V Model
Best I got at the moment.
Hey….are u on stock suspension?…..if not, then what springs are those and whats ur review of everything other than the ride quality?….i just wish someone made spherical cradle bushings for this car. It was the most dramatic change in suspension for my s550, i remeber.

I have Eibach springs on mine. Rides like stock mostly, maybe 15-20% firmer. In touring mode, its unnoticeable. In sport mode, you can tell for sure and track mode is really firm.

Thank you sooo much…..im getting it.
I'd say from a side profile, the hood sits about a 1/2" - 3/4" higher at the cowl. It's very noticeable from inside the car. Auto Addict has a new ZL1 style hood that's quite raised. I don't like it but it is another option.

I ordered these recently. Vendor is a one man show making parts himself. Lockout kit on my former '17 ZL1 made a big difference.

I spoke with Rich, the owner of Revelry, in January about testing the lockout kit on my CT5 BW. I basically told him that I don't drag race a lot so I probably wasn't a good candidate for testing but I appreciated his willingness to let me try it.

Looks like he's revised it from a full kit to a half kit which is probably what he implied to me that he was working on when we spoke in January. He said he was kicking around some new ideas. I went ahead and ordered the kit too.

I ordered my Anderson Composite hood last night and its already being shipped less than 24 hours later. Just hoping that it gets delivered without any damages. I'm going away on vacation for 2 weeks. Hopefully it will arrive before I leave and my brother can paint and install it so I have it done before I get home.🙏

Anderson composites packs that thing up well, with a very solid box and plenty of protection.

Yea, my local shop said they recently redone their packaging on these hoods and its very robust now.

bro i was looking at the instructions and im in noooo mood to lower no damn subframe on a jack ( slow-jack)….im guessing its more suited for straight line speed.

Spherical in the control arm/cradle and its a wrap. This car would eat up turns. Id keep the rest stock. I just wish the buyer base was higher for this car so more companies would make more crap. But i kinda love that aspect about the car also. The sleeper collectable.

Actually a rear cradle lockout will improve all aspects of the car. I did this mod on my 2021 Camaro ZL1 and immediately the rear felt more firmly planted whether going straight or through turns. There's no question that the more rear end bushing deflection you have, the less planted the car will feel. I've noticed that the CT5 Blackwing for whatever reason has more rear end squirm under hard acceleration than any other vehicle I've driven.

Sorry, white as the driven snow. Also, I am an idiot. I said I was gonna leave the car with my brother to install and paint it while I'm away. Just remembered....he is going to the Caribbean at the same time I am. I guess he can do it when we get back.

I'll be anxiously awaiting pictures when it's finished. My 5BW is also white.

I put an Anderson Composites rear spoiler on my car. That thing was packaged so well, I don't think even FedEx could have damaged it.

Oh my…..i wish i could force this individual to take 10 steps back after a half turn left/right lol (lame)…..this looks more and more like a “need” and not a “want.”….thanks for the pics. Has anyone painted everything gloss black vs all the carbon glitter? I feel like ive outgrown cf. im probably wrong. But i feel like i am.

i apologize for veering i to this here, but has anyone seen or heard this car with an axelback?.

does anyone make a differntial bushing kit?….i ask bc i remeber when i did the lockout kit for my s550, i had kept the differential bushings oem and although it helped with wheelhop and straightline speed (from a dig) i noticed when going around a turn at like 50+ mph, the system would be out of sync and it would make weird sounds…..then i got the spherical cradle kit and a fatter swaybar and the car handled amazing…ur most likely right though bc this was almost 10 yrs ago and things have evolved.

Dang although from that angle it does give mini cowl vibes…in sorry, ive always despised the cowl hood…..i get its functionality but on the street it just made every car look dopey.
