Spring Mountain sales issues

It's like calling into a radio program for a prize ... Cadillac just thinks they're a premium / luxury brand ... it reality their system is lost in the 80's.

This is starting to sound like the George Costanza book-in-the-bathroom flagged episode.

I don't know, but I have had great luck calling and having requests accommodated. This last time I needed an approval for extension, so I had to work directly with them. I was booked to go early December, which was already just over a year from the Black Diamond Tricoat arriving, and it conflicted with a church obligation I simply did not want to miss. I was ready to pass on Spring Mountain if they could not extend me. But GM did approve an extension, and when the permission came in, I was quickly put into a terrific Friday-Saturday February spot, and in fact completed the class 2+ weeks ago. I did not have to do the respond fast to the email game, maybe because I was already past the 12 month window.

I'm sure you have tried calling, and who knows why they can't get you in a class. It is amazing experience, and well worth the effort to get booked and complete the class. This last trip was my third, and easily the best of the bunch (I had a headcold on the last visit, that is NOT fun!).

When I called to talk them, I was told I had to play this email game to get a seat.

I have nothing real to base this on, but I believe as you get closer to the one year mark and your opportunity expiring, somehow you start getting priority status

I have nothing to base this on either, but I think there's some validity to what you are saying. My year had expired and they lobbied Cadillac to honor a spot for me. To top that off, they also let my son take my spot as the student and I attended as a guest. We missed out on the first posted dates, but got in on our second attempt. Stay after it...........well worth it.

Perhaps the selection should be based on the age of the VIN's. Older offered an opportunity first and then work down the list to newer. Frankly, the system they're currently using isn't likely to change - they're nothing in it for them to change as they sell all the spots anyway. It's a real shame for a company that comes off as being progressive, to live in the 80's.

I bought my CT4 in late January. Asked them to be put on the earliest availability cancellation list. Participated the first week of March. They'll do their best to accommodate your requested dates. Did the same thing with my previous C8Z. You must be flexible for this to work.

I get that we all have families and lives but if someone wants to go so bad make it a priority. One guy in our class was from Canada brought his wife and their twins, they were awesome. People from all over in our class. My wife went along this time. We stayed in one of their casitas. Zero complaints. I'll make a long winded post about it in my owner thread. Good luck folks.

I think being flexible is a key element. My wife and I looked forward to any conflicts where I wouldn't be able to be gone for a few days for 7 months in advance and picked every single date that wasn't a conflict.
The dates I got are not when I would like to go, but I'm able to go and not going to miss the opportunity because I want to be picky.
