CT5-V Blackwing
Hi All. I recently sold my G80 M3 and bought a 2026 CT5-V Blackwing. My G80 was tuned and an overall fantastic car, but it felt numb and had virtually no engagement other than WOT on the highways which didn’t happen too often. I needed something that was driver engagement first, which to me meant a manual transmission was necessary. I debating between the 5BW and the 992.2 Carrera T and ultimately ended up with 5BW. My local dealership in NJ had the exact spec I wanted available on the floor so I bought it on the spot and cant be happier. I’m getting my Corsa exhaust installed on Monday but have other wrapped the entire car in PPF (stealth PPF on the white, gloss PPF on all trim pieces) and I tinted the windows 20% all around including the front windshield. I’m hoping not to go crazy with this car but we’ll see what the future holds. Looking forward to my time here!

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Funny enough, I was cross shopping a few cars with 5BW. The cars I shopped was: RS6 Avant (felt dated and next gen is around the corner), M5 Touring (too heavy and synthetic engine sounds are pumped through speakers), and M3 CS (really loved the car, but steering is numb and it pumps in engine sounds like M5).

Ultimately, I went 5BW mainly because of three pedals, sound, and I had allocation to Le Monstre

incredible. I would’ve done the same. I love the RS6 but no manual was a deal breaker. It’s a shame the CS doesn’t come with the manual option.

You made the right choice, OP! Few cars are as engaging to drive day to day while still being very composed and comfortable. And then it will still want to rip your head off when you are in the mood, which is really fun!

Welcome to the forums. I would love to know what shop is installing that corsa kit for you
I'm over in Holmdel -- Hope to see you out there :beer

First of all, excellent photos! Are you a photographer?
Nice G80, that green is lovely, and welcome to the Cadillac side. What we lack in interior materials, we gain in driving dynamics.
