Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

Patience grasshhoppers patience. There is a reason it is called a goat rodeo. :) All good things come in time.

Still in the rail yard, just waiting for the dealer to take delivery. Good Grief!!! The dealer says they have no idea how long it will take to get it from the rail yard. Crazy to think they have a $125K product just sitting in the yard exposed to the elements. You would think that would be the last car they would want waiting out there. But what do I know?

My estimated delivery date on the Cadillac site updated to April 13th. Dealer told me earlier their system said May 13-20, but to take that with a grain of salt as those are never right. Hope the one on the site is accurate now!!! And lol. Mines 144k. I went all out. It’s been sitting almost 3 months. It is what it is. I’ll get it paint corrected and ppfd right away.

car is on the train on its way to the east coast!! 25 6MT 86-381. Just south of Toledo as of two days ago. Dealer said this is a good time cause the trains have to operate slower when it’s summer and above 90°. It’ll be here next week most likely! The 🐐 Rodeo is finally drawing to a close. Luckily, the destination rail yard is like 5 minutes from the dealership and they’re good about getting the vehicles once they arrive. Will post pics when I take possession!

So are they done taking orders for the model year? Haven't heard from my salesperson at Sewell Dallas in 11 days. Put the order in on the 2nd.

You can check the order status via the chat bot on the Cadillac website if you have the order number. But if Dustin has not called and said he assigned your order to an allocation then it has not gone anywhere. 2026 CT5 production starts June 1. With no year over year changes GM will keep making 2025 CT5 models right until then.

Does that include V/Blackwing?

She showed me a screenshot of the order to confirm all my choices but never gave the order number. I'll follow up this week.

Just curious, I was told I have a May 13th ETA for delivery of my car. But, it’s not showing up on the Cadillac website or the dealership website. Should it be? Or do customer ordered cars not show up in the inventory?

You'll be able to find your car as 'in transit' on the inventory site but any dates associated with this process should be taken with a huge grain of salt. You can see below how many different dates I've been promised.

Soundtrack for the wait:

I wouldn’t count on that delivery date. When was your vehicle produced? Take that production date and tack on 2-3 months. That’s your delivery date. Any estimation on the site is most likely wrong. They’ll change a lot and if there’s no date, it means there’s a delay of some sort most likely.

My car just arrived at the destination rail yard at twin oaks and has been marked as priority for dealership delivery. It says May 11th on the site. Before that it said April 20. Before that it said June 10 (yikes), and sometimes it didn’t say anything at all. Once it reaches that destination yard though, that is the first time the dealer can finally call and have it expedited if at all possible. My car was produced on 2/5. This is why they call it the goat rodeo. There’s no rhyme or reason. Some peoples cars get built and delivered within a month. But the average definitely skews more towards 2-3 months post production. GM simply produces and ships so many vehicles and gets backed up. Especially recently with the folding of Jack Cooper.

Easiest way to find your car in the inventory is to do the Build & Buy. Configure the same specs as the one you ordered. When you get to the summary screen, it should show up in the inventory list as an ‘Exact Match’. And show it is assigned to your dealer. Note you may need to change the zip or the distance to see all the cars. You can also search by dealer.

As mentioned above, the estimated delivery date means nothing. It is not to be trusted.

Is that 100% certain that customer sold orders (SRO) show up in the inventory on the site? I didn't think they did for some reason and that was just dealer stock orders.

Mine was a customer build (by me) and showed up in the system as available inventory on the configurator when it was in transit.

mine was on the Cadillac and dealership websites for a day or two and then was taken down by the dealer. some dealers leave them up to get people calling and others, like my small hometown dealer, don't want to field a ton of calls.

just want to rile them up to get them in the door or have a backup in case anyone doesn't go through with their order and cancel.

walked into bmw here locally to look at an m4 fully loaded with every option/carbon on it and MANUAL only for them to say, sorry it's already sold/spoken for we are just waiting for him to finish paperwork..we can take your info if he doesn't go through.
