So of course. This week, 4.5k miles in. The noise has gone away. On its own… It was extremely prevalent during winter. I now can’t replicate it. lol. I guess this is a good thing!?

OMG. Have you basically figured out this whole thing without having to replace your TB nor Turbo!? I have an appointment setup but is this the true fix! How could it have been this simple and no dealer figured it out?

And your 100% it’s that exact part making the noise vs the TB? It’s my understanding that even when in service mode, the only part that moves is the TB. Not the WG.

I’m bringing my 24 into the dealer in a week. I’ll keep the group posted on what they say. It’ll be interesting to see how they’re approaching each case. I’m going to tell them to only do the TB (if I can) vs TB and Turbos.

Does anyone know if this is still happening? Any word from AWE for the CT4?

Copy that. I’m hoping they’ll allow only a TB replacement when I go to the dealer. I’d rather not swap a turbo as that’s much more major. Did they provide any details as to what the TB issue was? I assume a manufacturer tolerance error.

Wait so are you saying your swap to a new TB at 8k did not fix it? Did you go aftermarket after the swap and then it went away?

Super useful man. That sounds pretty definitive then. I’ve only got 4k miles, 2024 early build. It showed up at about 1k miles. When I use the throttle a lot it will go away but then reappear my next drive at the same sound level. What are you hearing mileage wise where it’s going away?

Thanks! I’m still not convinced it’s the turbo. Do we have any GM or Dealer Techs here who can definitively cover off on the Turbo vs Throttle Body issue? Also, anyone here local to Philly or Delaware? Debating between Bergy’s vs Delaware Cadillac.

Totally agree. However I had heard the turbo was a miss diagnoses. It also adds a lot of work vs a simple Throttle Body. I guess I’m just questioning is this a turbo issue or not?

Ok. That’s good to hear that it’s the Throttle Body. If I go in would you say to request not to change out the turbo? I’d like to have minimal repairs by the dealer if a Turbo isn’t really needed. Was there an actual TSB issued on this yet? Thanks for the quick response!
