THIS. I find that if you don’t rotate it, one side will say full and one side will say low. It’s the strangest oil check experience I’ve had in a car, for sure. Spin that sucker 360 degrees.
Lesson learned for all of my colleagues on here. I bought the 8000TL quickjacks this week, and just tried to lift my blackwing. Measure twice, buy once. My lifting pucks are 60” apart (center to center), and the farthest reaches of the trays on the QJ are 59.75” apart. No go without some...
I used these same pads under by 4BW — thanks for the link. Also cut the plastic - no biggie. But getting that rear set screw tight on the back pads was an exercise in patience! I think that set screw on each side took longer than the entire process on the rest.
I just replaced mine for the first time in my 2023 4BW with nearly 30,000 miles on it. I don’t do anything exotic with my keys when not driving. This seems like a normal battery interval to me.
Replacing them 12 times, like another poster noted, is NOT normal.
It will also get better with more miles. My 4BW was very notchy into 2nd when I bought it new, and now that it’s got 26k miles on it, it’s much better. Not perfect, mind you, but worlds better.
