I just replaced mine for the first time in my 2023 4BW with nearly 30,000 miles on it. I don’t do anything exotic with my keys when not driving. This seems like a normal battery interval to me.
Replacing them 12 times, like another poster noted, is NOT normal.
It will also get better with more miles. My 4BW was very notchy into 2nd when I bought it new, and now that it’s got 26k miles on it, it’s much better. Not perfect, mind you, but worlds better.
9 miles when I test drove it. They weren’t going to let me drive it, but I assured them that I would never buy a car I haven’t driven, and I’d find another dealership. In retrospect, I should have given the paint issues that I discovered later…
