I backed into a spot with a curb on the passenger side before visiting my sister.
I noted the curb when I stepped out of my car and I thought:
Don't forget to exit in a wide arc when you turn out to leave that spot.
I visit my sister.
I leave.

It’s usually kept in our garage.
Unfortunately, though, the garage is accessed via an alley that’s pretty low on the city’s snow clearing priority list. We only get two or three major snowstorms here most years, but when they do hit, getting in and out is much more an issue than the cold.
I thought this little-known feature was a gimmick, but found it relaxing to be able to turn down the lights to just the essentials during parts of a long and sometimes arduous winter drive back to Toronto from Quebec last night.
There absolutely are options for winter tires, just not ones that fit perfectly. Or at least not as far as I know, in terms of available sizes, and even that may be better now than when I bought mine 3 winters ago.
