CT4-VBW Not happy with Corsa Axle back and catless DP

The exhaust note on the CT4-V BW is a little different than the ATS-V. Especially considering the only downpipe option is a crossover version.

Ahh, the ol' CTO to IT merger. Then they created CTN and tried to kill CTM. Good times...good times.😁

Retired Navy after 20 years ( you can guess the rank by looking at my avatar ). Started off as a maintenance guy (CTM) for SIGINT gear, but spent most of my career doing IT and offensive cyber (CTN). Now I advise the government (not that they listen) at a Big 4 company.

    CT4-V Oil Catch Can??

Thanks for yours! I am also retired (2020). What are the chances a couple of Sailors having the same cars back to back? lol!!

    CT4-V Oil Catch Can??

I can answer this as well since I traded in my Stinger GT2 for the baby Blackwing. They are completely different animals. My Stinger was AWD, so it was much more forgiving in corners. While Kia does provide a ton of features for the low cost, the BW has more refined qualities, e.g., suspension...

    CT4-V Oil Catch Can??

I'd prefer a true AOS like I had on my WRX, but the off-the-shelf options are limited for the LF4. The MM CC has a check valve, not sure if the LMP has one. I'm not concerned about the VTA, unless I notice oil residue near the cans. Otherwise, they perform the same as recirculation cans. MM...

    CT4-V Oil Catch Can??

Can you elaborate on why you think the designs are bad? I don't know who David is...

    CT4-V Oil Catch Can??

I have both the LMP CC and Might Mouse CC. The former has yet to trap any oil blow-by. The latter was on for ~1,000 miles and trapped some blow-by.

[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

The tips in this video look even. I'm wondering if the uneveness in previous images is due to the installer.

[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

Yeah, the ISF look is a deal breaker for me. If that can be corrected, it's worth the price. I had AWE on my Focus RS and was very pleased with the note and fitment.

Welding on V band flanges won't hinder shipping nor does is require additional welding. But, they're already welding an exhaust designed for the BW, so adding a few extra welds won't take much longer and drive up cost (significantly).

Why are there so many slip fit joints? I realize V bands may increase the cost a slight bit, but the quality of seal is vastly improved.
