I take most youtube reviews with a large grain of salt. The reviewers have to stay in the manufacturers' good graces, because they are supplying the test cars. Good characteristics are overly celebrated, but real criticism is restrained.
I too, unsuccessfully looked for a lightly optioned northeast CT4BW and struck out. I found plenty of them loaded up with carbon fiber, sunroofs, wheel options, red seatbelts, data recorders, etc, driving the MSRP well over $80K. Some were discounted, some were not, one dealer website said...
A friend of mine uses Hagerty insurance for his collector cars and says they are very cheap compared to the majors. I'm not sure if the Blackwings will qualify, however.

I test drove an MX-5 and although I loved driving it, the road/wind noise was excessive. I could see that being fatiguing over time. Is the 4BW reasonably quiet when driven normally?
Insurance is rising partly due to the increased use of radar and camera sensors and the very high cost of replacement and calibration. This needs to be simplified and the parts shouldn't be so outrageous.

I don't have easy warm storage of the summers if I go the winter tire route, so may go with your choice of all seasons. I've heard the handling isn't THAT much worse with the Pilot AS4 all seasons. Winter tires are superior for snow, of course, but I have another car for winter duty.
