The owners manual says 1500, so believe who you will. An early oil change (~1k miles or less) is always a good idea to flush out break-in particles.

As a last resort before involving the dealer, I would do battery disconnect for a half hour or so.

Wherever it is rubbing up against to make it squeak, could you not try some ceramic spray on a rag and work it into the edges to maybe make it more slick?

I think you did fine for the time and effort. There is a cost for going through too much BS.

The tech that was responsible for my car's abuse in my last visit no longer works for the dealership. IDK if my complaint to them had any weight, but they said there were other issues with him. They are now working with me on agreeable reparations.

I think there is a for sale/wanted forum for this that might get more looks. :)
