Crisis averted (lol). It's all still there... now I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way to reseat the sensor without taking the front end apart. Seems like no 😖
Hit debris on the highway, came flying out from underneath the car in front of me and I was in the express lane so there was no space for me to swerve around. Not entirely sure what it was. I actually thought it was going to be worse based on the sound it made hitting my car 😬
Anyone know how I might locate just this circular piece? I would like to avoid a trip to the dealership if possible. However the parking sensor is messed up too so I might have to go in.
it almost seems like something internal (engine, transmission) to me. It seems directly related to RPM speed and particularly happens under load.
Things we’ve tried and ruled out are ANC (active noise cancelling) interference, and fuel pump / fuel lines.
Thank you guys for confirming I’m not...
Hey guys, just looking for a reality check here. This sound is driving me crazy. Cadillac now trying to tell me it's "a normal characteristic of the LF4 engine"
Do y'all hear abnormal noise in these vids?
Good luck my friend and please keep me posted. I’m at an impasse with my dealership. They’re now trying to say it’s a normal characteristic of the engine. However they already had me test drive a different one to try and confirm the issue and we all agreed the other one didn’t make the noise...
Tried that, at least to my knowledge. I took a couple of the fuses out and confirmed with dealership those were correct fuses to the ANC system - it didn't do anything unfortunately. Another mechanic I brought it to also thought that might be the issue.
Bumping to see if ANYONE else has experienced this? It's been going on for about 18 months now. The dealership has replaced the amp, replaced the fuel pump, and replaced the fuel lines. It's back at the dealership now and they're brining in a field engineer to look at it. It's so annoying.
