Actively drag raced and street raced multiple GM turbocharged cars since 1987. I've owned four "86/"87 Turbo Buicks since 1994, and still own my "87 GN named LEGEND. My main addiction has been the "86 / "87 Turbo Buicks, but I have also dabbled with turbo imports, as well as an "05 GTO and a 2011 Mustang GT Coyote. My turbo car and supercharged car experience, both hot rodding and owning is as follows.
"90 Pontiac Sunbird GT Turbo 5 spd Torch Red, 1st car, still own it today. Took it from 15.00's @ 85 bone stock to 14.teens @ 99.
"83 Nissan Skyline GT-S Turbo 4dr, while I was station in Misawa Japan "91-"93 USAF. Fun car, but not my bucket list Godzilla R32.
"86 Buick Regal T-Type painted Dark Slate Grey Metallic, Hardtop. "RU" purchased bone stock in April "94, sold in October 2005. Ran 14.00's @ 99 stock, 9.90's @ 135 when sold. Went through 5 combos with this car from start to finish.
"87 Buick Regal Turbo T Limited named RARE-T, white with chrome trim CF5 moonroof, column shift, gray leather heavy weight Limited. Daily driver and actively street raced it in "99. Ran a best of a 11.07 @ 120.
1998 Buick Regal GS, white on grey. Won the 1st and only Buick Motor Division sponsored FWD class at the Buick GS Nationals in Norwalk OH in 1999. Car ran low 14's high 13's in decent weather with bolt ons.
2005 Mitsubishi Evo 8 MR, Graphite Gray Metallic. Few AMS bolt ons, ran 12.30's @ 112 on 93 pump.
"86 Mercury Merkur XR4Ti turbo. Black, auto. Winter car in NW Indiana.
"90 Pontiac Sunbird GT Turbo, Torch Red auto. This one was a twin to my 1st car.
2000 Buick Regal GS Dark Blue Metallic, dark blue interior, high mileage daily driver.
1987 Buick Regal Turbo T, Dark Blue Metallic, black out, blue interior hard top named Sarah. Basic mods, ran 11.70's @ 114.
1987 Buick Regal Grand National "LEGEND". Traded my Coyote Mustang for it in 2017. It was a basic bolt on, mid 12's feeling, all original car when I got it. I completely changed the combo and ran a best of a 10.855 @ 125.72 at the Buick GS Nationals in Bowling Green KY on it's 4 pass ever down the 1/4 mile.
I've wrenched on numerous Turbo Buick's and TTA's owned by friends and family over the years and now, it's time to step into the LF4 arena. 2016 ATS-V Phantom Gray Metallic Coupe 8 speed auto I've named "Major" arrived safe and sound on 6/25/22.
