    CT4-V 22 4BW Vertical acceleration sensonr

For $22 you can get a 3-day login to acdelcotds and see what the actual procedure says. I assume this is the sensor that’s bolted to the suspension upright and it’s just like two bolts plus the wire.

CT5-V Precision Pack Ride Quality Analysis

@jvp was kind enough to bring his new 5BW with the precision package over yesterday. We thought it would be fun to do a back to back test drive of his car and my 22 with the standard suspension. Same day, same route, both on the PS4 tires. This video breaks down my impressions and does a bit...

    2025 PDR

FWIW, I'd pay the $60/yr to get the Plus subscription to Pi Toolbox. They added some really nice workbooks for iRacing that you can adapt to PDR if you want. Plus you get the ability to have more worksheets, displays, and tabs. The native support for iRacing telemetry is also very cool. I'm...

Some track action with a 911 GT3 RS

I have a Carrera T as well and they are wonderful cars. Very different experience than the 5BW, but glad own both. The GT3 RS seems really cool as a track car.

Some track action with a 911 GT3 RS

Damn these cars are good. Bone stock down to a street alignment. Tons of fun chasing this RS on a very technical track.

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

If you just do gentle braking on the street, the cold pads can wear away the layer on the rotor you created by burnishing, although mine seems to be holding up well. You can always do it again.

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

It’s all about getting the brake pads hot enough to deposit an even layer of pad material down on the rotor without stopping which would cause a hot spot. Higher speeds means fewer near stops needed to generate the heat. Then you need to drive around without stopping until the brakes cool so...

    CT5 BW Manual and 992 GT3

Great question. I believe the one on the right is for Track mode and the one to the left of it is which PTM mode. I’d have to test though. I was most likely in Track mode PTM Sport.

    CT5 BW Manual and 992 GT3

    Here’s a 5BW manual at VIR vs a 991 GT3. I own a 992.1 Carrera T manual and have to say I absolutely love both cars.

Blackwing-spec PS4Ss heat cycle out long before wearing out?

With track use they absolutely heat cycle out before they wear out. The OM also has some incredibly short timeframes for tire replacement with track use. I think that is more a function of load of the tire under heavy cornering.

CT5-V Catalytic Converter and Brake work

Do you track the car? Is it the same side cat that is failing? How is it failing (internals breaking apart, clogged, cracked)? I went through multiple cats on my C7 Z06 and C7 ZR1 with track use. They would crack at the welded seam. I wonder if you have some engine issue causing one bank to...

CT5-V Catalytic Converter and Brake work

Stick with the stock pads. They work great for track and street. I wouldn’t want to risk a pad compound that accelerates wear on the very expensive CCB rotors.

It’s the MP4 file and you’ll need to use something like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive to share it. If you want to PM me your email address we can work it out over email.
