Mine isn't a toy, it's a weapon. My daily commuter, mostly interstate highway, in a population dense region of Pennsylvania that has recently become the distribution hub of the northeastern USA. It's a rowdy mf'r that gets me to holes in traffic before the other guy. Over 15k miles and I've got...
Is anybody achieving the 18psi max boost that's posted by GM for our car? I don't see anything over 11psi on my gauge no matter what gear I'm in or what RPM I'm taching when I mash the accelerator.
Dead nuts on, Zonearc. Those front rotors are pricey. I have a race trailer that’s over 7000lbs loaded and the front rotors on my pickup last way longer than 5k miles, and it’s primarily at tow-vehicle. This is a factory problem.
Yes. But they didn’t credit me the $200 for the first visit when they misdiagnosed the problem as a wheel balance issue. Not a big deal but it would’ve been a nice gesture since I was pretty adamant going in that it was not a balance issue because the car felt like it was on glass when driving...
I’m having the same problem. Not quite 4K miles on my 4VBW. Lots of front vibration under braking, getting worse. Took it to the dealer and they couldn’t find anything except a wheel slightly out of balance. Rotors spun out perfectly. Brought it home and it’s still vibrating under braking...
Cost as per Novakin below. I went with the OEM sensors. They automatically registered the second I fired up the car. Easy peasy. Tires from Tire Rack, local shop built the wheels.
Let us know how those Michelin PS4s do. I'm considering those for my summer tires as the PS4 get kinda sketchy in the rain. From the YouTube side-by-side tests they don't seem to give up a lot to the PS4 in the dry and maybe I'll end up sideways less :) (Lots-O-torque in that thar motor)
My newly installed winter sneakers for here in eastern Pennsylvania. As previously discussed on this thread, Apex rims (18x9 and 18X9.5, ask for Corey, he's been dealing with a few of us BW owners), Apex 3mm spacer up front, Apex centering rings, Michelin CrossClimate 2, and Gorilla lug nuts...
