Not at all. Bought mine as a trip and around town car. Manual transmission and all. Even bought the aftermarket spare tire. Will say though, I made sure I got the base performance seats, as the others are a pain to crawl in and out of the bolsters. Was supposed to replace my 2006 Infinity g35...

Manual. Not old enough to drive an automatic:) Only roomy, rear wheel drive, 4 door sedan that's got some screw, with a manual transmission available on the planet. BTW, tremendous transmission, shift, clutch actuation like butter, rev match a bonus. Very pleased.
