I "missed" the most recent release of dates by about 10 minutes, and am now waitlisted for a Nov session. So, fair warning to anyone, the spots can fill up fast. All I specified was 6mt. Not sure if I need to get more granular than that (PP, carbon ceramics, etc.)
There was an update about...
Appreciate the detailed response. I've always wondered since the MECOSA 7spd debuted how it felt compared to a true, mechanically connected gearbox, Porsche 6spd or otherwise. Sounds like it works but ain't ideal. That could be a dealbreaker. The rattles issue, that would also be a downer. My...
Nice. Though some may consider it boring, I approve of the gray. I always think Lamborghini Battleship Gray when I see that shade. Understated but good looking still.
Curious, have you driven a LWB back to back to a standard wheelbase option, BMW/7 or otherwise? I have never driven any LWB vs...
Ah, got it. Quite the international shipping trip if it came from Serbia. Was it a repop or pristine OEM/NOS?
Interesting. So the UUC and Massive kits both use Wilwood calipers but are not the same? I will have to look up Massive. Does it offer clearance for bigger rotors or just more clearance...
Do you still have the link for that Ebay dash? I have a suede dash cover now hiding lots of ugliness...
How is the BBK? If it is the same as https://store.uucmotorwerks.com/big-brake-kit---wilwood-dynapro-caliper-1175-rotor-front-84-91-e30-325320318-all-incl-ix-p563.aspx, which I presume it...
FWIW, came across this yesterday:
I have not driven a C7Z or Gen6 ZL1 to know how much louder that is than stock, but from what little experience I do have with those cars, this for sure sounds louder.
Wish the guy had at least 1 clip at full throttle but whatcha gonna do.
The price of the...
Cherry. Nice job on the resto. Did you do it yourself? Wish my dash were pristine and uncracked.
Is that a Wilwood BBK I spot up front?
Yea, bummer about the 91oct. But it is what it is. Consider yourself lucky- 93 and at way cheaper prices...
Good! That's actually the answer I was hoping for. You don't see many Carrera Ts around. I had my hopes up for a 992.1 GT3 allocation at the dealer where I bought my GT4, but I was not high enough on the list for that generation, so my "spot" (hopefully) rolled over to the 992.2 gen. Which is...
I 97% concur. Just hit 100 miles this weekend on my '25 5VBW PP, and thus far the trans seems very compliant. 2-3, 3-4 etc really are like butter, and 1-2 is just about as close. Of course, I have yet to experience driving the car in weather under 70F, so that's something to consider.
This is...
Thanks. In the end it was worth the wait (and the first sales guy's scarcely believable BS). And I have yet to hit 100mi... Or fill the tank with "high octane" 91 at CA gas prices ☹️
You have an E30 ya? Post a photo if you've got one handy.
I think so too. Never know what can happen out there. Yes, it includes wheel repairs- not wheel replacements I don't think, but possibly if damage occurs and can't be repaired that would lead to a no-charge wheel replacement. Not sure. Limit is a total of 8 individual repair jobs over the life...
No, only 5 years. Would be a heckuva deal if for the life of the car!
For the PP one can choose between PSC2Rs and PS4s, if ordering the car at least. Consensus seems to be PS4s. I was never normal...
