Interesting! It looks to me like 85528936 is the original part and 85115921 is perhaps a longer wearing alternative. The only difference between the two pads appears to be that 85528939 has 9.15mm of friction material and weigh 7.14 lbs, while 85115921 have 13.65mm of friction material and...
I suppose a front wheel could be used on the back with a larger spacer. However, the studs that work for your rear wheels would be waaay to short to be used with the front wheel and a spacer. Lugs long enough to use with the front wheel with spacer would be waaay to long to work with the rear...
While you can run a square setup with the same size tires and wheels, the wheels are not interchangeable front to rear. The offsets on the wheels are drastically different.
Similar story here in that I wanted the 5BW, but settled for the 4BW. I do still long for that big power, but am really happy with the 4BW. With a JB4 your at 550hp and still getting 25mpg. The 5BW has greatly outsold the 4BW, with the 5BW continuing on while the 4BW has been discontinued...
I recommend Efren Panjon with Pepe Cadillac in White Plains NY. He delivered the car to my house in CT, did the paperwork in the driveway and took an Uber back to NY. They gave me MSRP on a Watkins Glen edition when nobody else would.
Those statements are not conflicting, they in agreement.
Let's say max camber with the "OEM" arms is -1.6 degrees and least possible camber is -.09 degrees. -1.6 is your moderate track alignment and -0.9 is your street alignment.
Install the V8V arm and that range shifts by -0.4 degrees, so...
Yes, of course. I stated the specs I was told to use for my 4BW. I've never said what specs you should be using for your 5BW.
I have only addressed the concept of toe in versus toe out, which doesn't change based on the model or make of a car. I enjoy the learning, so bring more info to the...
Correct, it's not black and white. It seems to come back to what is your goal, improved tire life or improved handling characteristics? According to your video if the goal is tire life, one would use toe in, but if improved handling is the goal, one would use toe out.
Could you please be more...
I'm not an expert, I'm learning as I'm going through this. And yeah, there's a lot of conflicting info out there.
I watched your videos. In "What is Camber? A Simple Explanation" it says most vehicles use positive camber, but racing/off road applications use negative camber. We're dealing...
Granted, I know these AI generated answers are often wrong, so my second reference point is John Heinricy. He was a GM engineer in the Performance Division for 40 years and life long race driver. He presently runs a CT4-V BW in the SCCA Touring 2 class. I've been speaking with him and he's...
The toe link that comes in the trunk allows for more camber than the "OEM" part. Needed for those that are tracking their cars.
With the Precision Package toe link installed, you can't get to a basic alignment for regular street driving.
The "OEM" one gives you a range between a regular...
