Oil change struggles on the ct5bw

That oil had roughly 400 miles of use this time. The 5BW is not my daily driver and I change the oil annually regardless of the miles due to short trips lately and to keep the oil fresh. When I drained it recently, I could smell the increase of raw fuel from the short trips. This car has less...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I did coat it myself over 3 yrs ago using GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Light, topped with GTECHNIQ EXO on everything, less the glass. I polished the glass and installed GTECHNIQ G1 Clear Vision. Everything is holding up quite well, but the car is garage kept, so expected to last. The expensive cost...

Oil change struggles on the ct5bw

I use the 67” Race Ramps with 10” of lift, no issue with a good filter wrench. I also add oil absorbing pads on the cross bar mentioned to catch any drips. I’ve change my oil 4 times thus far with no problems.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Here’s my car being foamed with soap and it’s struggling to stay on the car due to the ceramic coating and glass coating, lol.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I bought DI-Pro-100 from RV Mods. At the time, it was the best value. There are other brands that are similar. It’s work well. It’s heavy because it is the size of a large oxygen tank. The DI media is almost 50lbs alone. https://rv-mods.com/store/DI-Pro-100-Compact-p140941079 The small dolly...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

You’re correct, a DI system is what you need to help avoid water spots when you have hard water. I’ve been using a 1cf DI filter mounted on a dolly that I roll out to hook up to my Kranzle electric pressure washer. I used this set up since April 2021 on white to black vehicles with zero water...

    First Caddy

I wish I had a high ceiling like you have so I could install a lift. Still my favorite is the one hiding under the cover!! She’s a beauty!!

    Your Blackwing in the snow

She had a gum disease requiring teeth removal to save her life. It was uncovered during her second vet visit and scared the hell out of us. We spent the $$ for the surgery to save her live and don’t regret it! She swallows her hard food when she eats her prescription food. When she sleeps, her...

    Your Blackwing in the snow

We have two rescue cats, a 10 y/o calico girl that recently had a UTI as well. After blood tests, shots, etc. she rebound fast. She had all her teeth removed before she turned 1 y/o. She is healthy otherwise at 12 lbs. We have a 1.5 y/o big boy (height & length) weighing 25.6 lbs from recent...

    Wrapped roof?

I read a review post about carbon fiber shark cover blocking signals on Savage Caddy about not working. Different scenario, frequency, etc., but when I swapped out my rear diffuser to OEM carbon fiber for CF2 factory option, the kick to open trunk function quit working due to carbon fiber...

    Wrapped roof?

Thanks @FLYARMY. My detailer talked about adding the black strip around the bottom, tuck in and then add the other piece as needed. I’ll tell him about the the third light as an option.

    Wrapped roof?

Thanks @RDATLTE I met with my detailer/ceramic guy today and he told me they strongly recommend black PPF for the actual top and can use black vinyl for the shark antenna without removing and tuck underneath it. He stated they have done about a dozen 5BW with success. Not sure what everyone is...

    Wrapped roof?

For those with non-black cars, do you replace the shark fin antenna with a black painted one or wrap it? Easy to remove and reinstall?
