Can I get your opinions on my front rotors

I am waiting to hear back from the dealer whether they will cover the rotors under warranty. Pads are wear items. But rotors apparently fall under a different category.

By the way, there will be around 15 Cadillac V series cars attending this event this coming Saturday March 30th... CTS-V, CT4V-BW, CT5V-BW and a CTS-V wagon I think.

    Mainline Cars & Coffee (PA)

I am in and registered for the 9:30AM slot as well . I figure that BW qualify as Sportscars. I will inform members of the Philly V-CLUB. Maybe we can come in force for one of the days.

Changing oil from 5-30 to Supercar 0-40?

Cadillac/GM in their CT4V-BW service manual specifies the older oil - reference document 6131547: "Engine Oil 5W-30 - part #19293000". Yet, Mobil 1 claims that Cadillac performance vehicles come from the factory with Mobil 1 Supercar. Maybe they mean only the CT5V-BW. To me, that is...

Changing oil from 5-30 to Supercar 0-40?

Due to the ongoing confusion among Blackwing owners, Cadillac Dealers, and Cadillac customer service with regard to which oil and filters are GM/Cadillac approved and provide warranty coverage for the CT4V-BW, I have requested that the Cadillac V-CLUB seek clarification of these items from...

Watch the TPC code for replacement tires

I will contribute my 2 cents to this discussion. Actually is more like $3000 in tires YTD. I will provide my data, my analysis and let you decide how to adjust your tire pressure to road course HPDE events ... Vehicle - CT4V-BW Mileage - 11,600 Track time - 15 days which is about 90 - 20...

    Oil Filters

The 5W-30 grade is the minimum spec. 0W-40 grade oil provides a wider range of operating temps, as in it's a better oil that the minimum required. The Cadillac V-Club had a presentation from Mobil-1 earlier this year. They provided a bunch of info. Including the fact that GM changed the...

    Oil Filters

I suggest that you use UPF63R - Part #12693541, it is the better filter. And while you are at it, make sure that the oil is Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40. You will need 7 Quarts. Of course the case is sold with 6 quarts. This stuff is hard to find. Filter online @ AutoZone Oil online @ Speedway...

Tips for CT4 BW pre-delivery inspection, lift points

Yes, the pinch weld adapter, rubber hockey puck, and a low-profile 3-ton jack does the trick for me. Lifting at the cutout location in the rocker panel CF. A square rubber piece would be better than the hockey puck.

    Is it totaled?

Congrats on winning the battle at the end, even though your "win" is still costing you a bundle. Good choice on moving up to Porsche if you can make the price jump. You are right about the $70K price point for the CT4V-BW being the sweet spot. For me, I am going to try to wait it out...
