There is conflicting information on this, however the last three digits are the series of the build spec rather than the VIN. I assumed that the dealer and GM parts could figure this out, but they were not able to do so and thus the blank badge. I'd be very happy to be wrong on this, but...

FWIW - I looked at that car when they had it on the showroom last fall (I think it's outside now). At the time they were only willing to discount it $8k which wasn't bad. It was loaded but missing the tech package. Had almost no miles but the drivers seat had a weird crease on the bolster...
