I have the same issue. I have to go into the PDR and disable and reenable this toggle to get it to start overwriting. Now I'm just in the habit of always looking for the red dot when I start driving.

I've become familiar with the lack of volume knob over time, so while it isn't awesome, it's livable. What I have NOT gotten used to is the stupid door handles and the "pull a little, but not too much, hahahaha it's stuck try again" nonsense.
As an update on this, Cadillac thinks it might be the early signs of a lifter failure so they're going to swap the lifters on one bank. The noise was never very loud, so I'm hoping it's a lifter only swap.
Oil plug was correctly seated.
It's present on the auto, so they made the sensors work already on the car. They saved a few dollars by taking the light out of the mirror. It's things like this that constantly remind me that I'm driving a nice Chevrolet, not a real luxury car. 😂
