    Blown engine

@rubberduck .....Yeah, I know. I'm one of those old time wackos that actually reads the book. But, there really is a lot of good stuff in there!

    Blown engine

The whole 500 miles thing has caused HUGE confusion. First, READ THE BOOK. Tons of great info in there. The 500 is for the reduced RPM's only....that's it. 1500 miles is for everything else. Oil change is one year, or when the DIC says, or 10,000 miles. There is a mention of rear diff change if...

    Range AFM Unit

With the 5BW, AFM (cylinder deactivation) is on the automatics only. There is a dash light in green that will show V4 when the cylinders are deactivated. Usually, the only time I see it is when using cruise control. Any slightly spirited driving will eliminate the use of AFM.

2025 CT5-V Blackwing LE MONSTRE EDITION & 2025 CT4-V Blackwing PETIT PATAUD EDITION

Gad Zukes! I can't believe people are this upset. Do we really need to argue THIS bad. I wonder if Rob is watching? I mean, who cares? I have much bigger issues than who got what deal, who turned down what deal, who paid how much. I'm (still) blessed and very happy I have one of these. I'd...

    Garage floor Stains

This is a bit frustrating for me. We did an epoxy floor in our last house. Looked beautiful and I was very happy with it. The reason the tires leave spots is based on the compound of the tire and possibly heat from the tire. My wifes RAV4 never left spots. My old Expedition left small spots...

Finally Let the Stingray Go — Blackwing Now My Only Fun Car

And this is the reason I have NO interest in a Corvette. I've had three over the years, and it always seemed this way. Speaks the truth! I've never had a car that makes me smile and giggle like a child when I'm out in it.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the 5BW.

Sold my CT6-V (the Original Blackwing)

@CornerMan ...What did you think of your CT6 V? I absolutely love them and wish I bought the one that got away in 2020. I still look at low mile preowned ones. I'm on the fence as to whether or not to buy one.

    Software Updates

This ^^^^ exactly. Send out an email or something to look for an update in the next X days/weeks. When it's not done within X timeframe, send another email. Oh, and GM, make sure the updates work when you send them.

Road side assistance - limit and aggravation

I get that....but, when you're "broken down" and hundreds or thousands of miles away from home and who/what you know, and don't know anything or anyone locally, I guess I'm going to a dealer. I'm not sure if Cadillac Road Service would tow you to "joe's garage". That's actually a good question...

Road side assistance - limit and aggravation

Was this Onstar/GM/Cadillac roadside? When I blew out my tires in CA last year, Onstar (which I don't have, or at least don't pay for) was truly my saving grace. Found me a tow, got me to a dealer. I changed which dealer to be towed to and paid extra for it (40 bucks?), but it made my life...

    Media dumps

That's a pretty cool shirt, but yes, $55?

Am I the only one here interested in vintage vehicles?

I'm such a sucker for the G bodies. I still have a huge soft spot for my 82 Cutlass Calais (loved that car) and my 85 442. I'd still buy one of them or a GN/GNX. Thanks @ResidentAlien for your pix.

Am I the only one here interested in vintage vehicles?

I'll just say....a few of my favorite Olds. I had a 85 442 years ago. Pretty awesome car for the day. I miss it and would love to have a 87 442 or of course, a 87 GN or GNX. Pix?

    Scheduled maintenance? CT4V BW

I bought an engine air filter and a cabin air filter. I don't think I paid more than 100 bucks for both. I'm sure the dealer would want 200 bucks or more. The engine filter is down around 19%, so I'll change both prior to my oil change next month.
