It sounds unnerving to run a filter that is oiled but I've never had an issue. I've used reusable K&N filters on and off through my automotive life in NA, turbo, and S/C cars but at the end of the day its all personal preference. I believe there are some totally dry cone filters you can find also.

I believe there is a cleaning kit.

Installed the K&N air intake. Nothing to report really. Power and sound remains about the same as stock.
