    Gear grinding

When it got it cold in the mornings and I would drive the car to work. I would just skip 2nd until I made it a couple of miles down the road and got some heat in the transmission. Usually took 5 min of driving and the car has enough power that it didn't really annoy me. Never had an issue in...

[Rumor] Gen 6 V8's will come in 5.7 and 6.6L

I picked up a new 25 GMC Sierra 1500SLT back in August with 5 miles on it. It has the 6.2 and I'm currently at 4600 miles with my only issue being the faulty bluetooth speaker crackling problem. I'll admit I also had them check out the engine for noise because this engine is NOT quiet. It has...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I went a similar route. Didn't work out. The 911 didn't even make it a year.

    Used Value Trend

When trading in cars at the dealership. Pretty sure that was what we were talking about? My statement was referring to trading in, not private party sales. Dealerships don't typically care about options. I haven't had a single dealership experience where they said, "We're going to give you more...

and if you still had that 2001 M5 you could now sell it for 100k+ (if it had the right options and low miles)

    Dealer joyride and manual "lessons"

Anytime I take any car to the dealership for service, I always take a picture of the mileage. This is one of the things I fear most about taking my cars to dealerships. Glad this person had proof of what they did and got taken care of by the dealership.

    Used Value Trend

Agree. Most will list their car based on options. But then it's a crap shoot getting someone to pay extra for the "extra" options. I mean, if they REALLY want them, then they'll give you a headache trying to get a better price than what's listed for. It took me months of looking at car sale...

    Used Value Trend

They really don't. Sold my 22 BW with all the right options (CCB, Carbon fiber backed seats, etc) and got the same amount for it that any other BW of that year without any options was listed for. The mileage was the only factor in value. Sold my 24 911 with 20k in added option "value" and got...

Finally Let the Stingray Go — Blackwing Now My Only Fun Car

I wouldn't consider myself a "wealthy" buyer, but I've gone through seven cars (about to be eight) in the last two years because I have yet to find something that really speaks to me. I started off with an M4, then an S5, Integra, Lexus IS350, CT5VBW, M550, Lexus RC350, and 911. The 18 M4 was a...

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Yeah after driving numerous 6spd transmission equipped cars. The 7spd in the 911 is just not that great. I mean it's notchy and you'll know you get it in to every gear. But good lord I find myself avoiding 7th gear as much as possible. I treat it like a 6spd because coming out of 7th the stick...

    Crazy Dealership

Exactly why I'm saying this dealership is crazy. It doesn't look different enough from a run of the mill CT5BW for the asking price.

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Looks like the M550 I had. I think that's why I never fell in love with it. It looks SO similar to every other BMW model that it didn't stand out at all.

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Damn you went big boy captain of a boat cruiser style. I bet she's super comfy. My M550 was super comfy and that was an "almost" M car.
