I used Turo to rent a Boxster to go to Spring Mountain..........and unfortunately it was an auto.
Does anybody use it to rent out their car ?
The place I got that Boxster from was a commercial operation - they had several dedicated rentals. I don't know if Turo was their only marketing...
This is pretty cool. It found my VIN.
I can't believe only 174 people got a Red CT5 BWs out of over 2,000 built in '23.
Apparently, though, nothing prior to 2022 is still available. That's too bad. Another title says 2020+, so is it always only about 2 or 3 years of history ?
Pretty cool idea.
But as a neon fan, nothing is more irritating that putting LED and neon in the same sentence. Everybody does it, but it is the most ridiculous thing.
Its the same as scheduling for day-night. Or being pregnant and non-pregnant at the same time. Or having a desk made of...
Interesting discussion - private vs dealer. In my younger days - and when I kept cars for less time - I bought and sold a number of vehicles privately. Its the only way I bought or sold anything. This was back in the days of microscopic newspaper ads............
You would think the internet...
Had her out last week and hit the limiter at the end of 2nd again.
It was still very abrupt, but I guess knowing it was coming makes a lot of difference.
Nothing like the rice rockets where the kids pin the bike in WOT in the parking lots to listen to it bounce off the limiter till they let...
Now that's good advice :)
Might be a while, but will do.
I think the opportunities to redline much higher gears is pretty limited on public highways. I guess 3rd is OK at 120. Same Google search said 200+ in 5th/6th, but my math shows 5th won't go that high before redline, and the huge gap...
I don't know if it cuts fuel or spark or both, but i nearly hit my head on the steering wheel when it happened.
Like i said, I thought I had hit it before in a much less violent way.
I hung onto 2nd gear a little too long recently, and was punished sharply for it. Obviously you're in a hurry if you're redlining the car, so it was a nasty surprise when it simply shut down in response to my late shift.
It brought back memories of the bad ol' days in my E34 530i. That car...
Both cars look great !!
That is pretty steep. Wish it were available when I had mine replaced after a hailstorm right after I got it.
I'm surprised it only saves 2 pounds.
But the flutter above 120 mph is what I'd want to fix.
Have you tested that ? Surely the carbon is stiffer than the...
