Congrats, jbawden!! Look at that paint sizzling as it comes off the truck!

CT5-V 2025 CT5 Blackwings - have your dealer check oil plug on the front of the engine (Service Bulletin attached)

Sorry it happened, Mike. I am curious, by "eligible to be turned back in", are you asking if Cadillac should take your car back and refund your money? On what basis? A part failed, and they will fix it at no cost to you. Why should they take back a 4 month old used car? Apologies if I am...

Blown Engine(add me to the list)

I have no concerns about Sewell swapping your motor. They will do a great job. AFM should have never been added to the LT4. We are not buying these cars to eke out an extra .5 MPG. We pay the guzzler tax, we fill with the best premium we can find. I tell my son all the time I would happily...

    CT5-V Carbon Spoiler without Splitter

My 2022 5BW came without any carbon. I added the OEM trunk spoiler, but never the front splitter. At 130 on the highway, it was perfectly smooth, but of course I was not banking into hard turns at that #. Funny you ask though, because I sure did consider that same point at that speed. My...

Sorry to read this. At least you will get a brand new motor.

MY2026 - What is the ordering process like?

I bought (2) Blackwings from Dustin and shipped both. 2022 4, and after a 2022 5. Still have not met the BW King in person, everything done via text and email after an early phonecall. Establish the relationship, and shipping was no problem.

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

Well that is very true! Modern HD trucks are overly behemoth and tough to see over the front end.

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

It is scary that you can't spot a car looking over your shoulder. I hope the small mirrors you added solve the problem. My daily is a F250 crew cab. Massive vehicle, and yet the easiest of all mine to spot cars with the tow mirrors. You can't miss a thing with tow mirrors.

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

I am glad you found a solution, Todd. I have BSM on all my current cars, but honest to God, I never look at that light. I really do not understand how drivers get so dependent on such a feature. I never had it for 30+ years of driving, and even now that is is very standard, I never use it as...

    5BW for 4BW

CT5-V Might be selling my BW - any interest on here?

Heck no, I only wish we could have got the cars together! Maybe now I will do so by driving West instead of East. I have been crazy with work the past few days and am just getting caught up. Happy for both you and JB!

Man, Nick, congratulations on the R8! The guys who owns the shop that does my detailing daily drives one. Killer machine. @jbawden, welcome to club BDT!! Mine has just surpassed 3000 miles, and it is the most enjoyable machine I have ever owned. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 22 Rift...

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

I would. Red would be a great touch too. As for competing against "ze Germans", sure, we can say Cadillac needs nicer leather (but thank you Cadillac for a "just right" steering wheel compared to the overly thick one in the M4 I owned). But we can also say in order for the Germans to compete...
