Interesting, for the CT5-V Series the small print says "CT5-V Blackwing shown. Extremely limited availability."

Their money would be better spent getting cars to customers that have been waiting 6 to 9 months for their car to be built. Why in the world would you spend advertising money on a product you can't deliver. Just can't understand it.

Think about GM as a company that works like the government. The marketing department had an annual budget. They better spend that budget up to the last dime, otherwise they will reduce their budget for the next year…I feel for the marketing team, they actually provided a really impressive brochure as did the engineering group. The logistics team on the other hand…
You are only as strong as the weakest link.

I have to agree

Can you guys tell me how Cadillac/GM can do anything faster????? Do they have parts to build cars with, are there enough truck drivers, or what I was told a couple of week ago, should a train move out half loaded??????? I really bet Cadillac wants to build the shit out of these cars because they want to turn a profit.... I don't know what can be done and I want my already built car too, but with all thats going on in the world I think they are doing their best......I also think the enclosed trailer thing has been beat to death and I for one am tired of reading about it..... I wish I had never mentioned it, now if I anger any of you guys I'm sorry...........AGAIN, I don't remember who said it first, but all this crap is first world problems!!!!!

The frustration for me is the lack of communication. Costs nothing to say "we're not doing enclosed because of xyz". Costs nothing to give better updates.

But I got my car, easy for me to say.

Rob, thanks for this info

It's because the Blackwings are halo cars. The reason they exist is to generate a ton of good/free press, a little bit of money, good will and brand loyalty among their owners, and to orient the Cadillac brand as sport/performance/power/enthusiast-driven. They know that those of us who are die hard enthusiasts and are buying Blackwings don't mind, in general, the process of waiting to get the goodies. The advertising is not to sell the cars to us, they already had us since the cars were first reported on in Car and Driver. The point of the ads is to set the tone for the brand so people don't feel bad for selling their soul and ordering an XT5 or whatever.
