2026 CT5 Blackwing
I just picked up a new 5BW and didn't think to look in the trunk for the brake ducts which are supposed to be applied before track days. Before I contact the dealer to inquire, I'd like to have some more information. Does anyone have pictures of the ducts in the trunk and/or a part number I can reference when I contact the dealer? Its a new 2026 without CCBs, so I assume they should be in a plastic bag like they were for my 4BW.

Thanks!

My 2026 BW with PP can with them installed.

Precision Package comes with CCB where there is no changes to be made going from street to track. OP is asking about the iron brakes that come with additional ducting that is supposed to be installed for track and removed for the street.

Why? I drove my 2020 Camaro ZLE all the time with the track brake ducts.

It can end up directing rocks and road debris into the brakes and wheels.

With CCBs in particular, that kind of hit can chip or crack a rotor.

Engineers of the car suggest they only get used on track. They are a scoop that can catch road debris, gravel, etc. that will be introduced to your rotors which could cause scratching or worse.

Interesting comments - something to consider.

Back the original question; does no one have a sample picture of the ducts and/or the part number (which i assume is on a sticker on the bag)?

Top duct is for Cadillac; bottom one is for Camaro ZLE

For CCB, there is nothing to install or remove for track. Only for iron rotors. However it arrived from the factory is fine for both track and street. Makes sense as CCB stay cooler than iron rotors so no additional cooling is needed. Iron rotors have the option to install the deflectors.

To clarify, for CCB only the 'Front Tire Deflector' needs to be removed for brake cooling.

I messaged the dealership; they responded that its an accessory? I thought it was included... like the license plate holder.
