V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2024 CT5VBW
I've narrowed down to three cars, all manual transmissions, all available, some differences.

1) Deep Space Metallic, Sky Cool Gray Sport Seats, CCB, CF1 package, no sunroof, standard wheels. This one is local to me. I've seen it in person. MSRP 117k.

2) Raven Black, Black Sport seats, CF1, CF2, no sunroof, standard wheels. MSRP 114k.

3) Summit White, Black premium full aniline with carbon backs, sunroof, PDR, upgraded wheels in gray MSRP 113k.

I'm really torn between the three. The DSM is local to me, I can see it and visually inspect it. It wasn't my first choice first color. In person, it looks different, in pictures it shows different. Color wise, definitely at the bottom of the list, but does have the CF1 package. I don't know how much I care about the CCB other than the cool factor. I don't track my car. Only consideration for the first one is that from a resale standpoint, it has CF1 and CCB, but from what I have seen on BaT, Cars and Bids, and here on the forums is that DSM is a less desirable color.

Option 2, has the CF1 and CF2 package. I don't care for a sunroof so option 1 and 2 don't bother me. Has the standard wheels. It is black though, and this will be a daily driver. I will say though, the black on these cars when clean looks absolutely stunning and is my favorite. Having had black cars in the past though, I recognize I may be setting myself up for misery. Also, not sure if having a CF lip on a daily driver is smart. Though, convince me otherwise.

Option 3 is the one I'm really leaning towards I think. I've had multiple white cars and they're generally a safe bet. I wish Rift white was still available, but Summit is what is available on these '25. It's a pretty conservative color and in my line of work doesn't scream for attention. This build is interesting to me also since it has a bit of a sleeper look. I love the premium full aniline seats and is what I checked off on all my builds. The carbon backs are a plus. It does have the wheels I like.

Option 2 and 3 are both out of state. I'm doing this site unseen and relying on the sales people to be honest and photography/video everything I request. This is probably the part that I'm having a hard time with. I've bought two preowned vehicles site unseen on Bring a Trailer, but both times bought the original sellers who I ended up trusting through the sale.

I haven't had the best luck with domestics where even brand new vehicles coming off of the trucks have had cosmetic damage. Whether it's the shipping people, or the folks doing the PDI and unwrapping of the vehicles. With my wife's Navigator Black Label, I went through four trucks before I found one that didn't have damage. Same with my Raptor, went through three trucks before I found one that was clean.

Any advice and pictures to sway me either way would be super helpful! Thank you!

Personally, I'd go for the DSM. Not quite the same as shadow metallic, but it's a combo similar to my '22 4 BW and I love it. I also love the Sky Cool Gray seats. But color is a personal thing so you do you. Dealer orders are almost always Summit White or Raven Black, are the only colors available every year, so half the cars out there are one or the other. Those aren't going to be unique if that matters to you.

I've attached pictures and will hold my opinion.

Color is way too subjective but the DSM spec is perfect. No roof is mandatory and the CCB are actually a better choice for a street car due to the dust of the iron brakes, particularly on the standard wheels. Of the two CF packages, 1 is definitely the most desirable (to me). You don't say anything about transmissions in the three. My spidy sense says they are probably 10A. 6M would be the deciding factor to me.

They are all manual transmissions. Mentioned in my original post.

DSM

I was really torn between the Typhoon Metallic and the Deep Space Metallic and had to make a decision sight unseen. I am absolutely thrilled I went with DSM. Such an awesome color in my opinion.

Colors are so subjective though. Have the confidence to get exactly what you want, regardless of what the peanut gallery says.

I initially placed an order in Raven Black then saw it in person on a different vehicle and didn’t like it. It’s just black, there is no metallic or flake in it. I thought it looked a little boring/dull to me, though I know as others have said color is subjective. I also don’t like white but I’ve had multiple vehicles in white and I’m bored with it. It seems like the vast majority of vehicles on the road are black, white or some shade of gray. I think the DSM is the most unique. I wouldn’t worry about options for resale, you won’t get that money back. It’s actually better from a financial standpoint to buy a poverty spec BW if resale is important to you, you will get most of your money back.

My advice to you as color is so subjective, go to a Cadillac dealer and look at all of the colors in person. Even if it’s not on a Blackwing, it will give you an idea.

One caveat to that is that many of the colors look very different in indoor lighting. To really see how good they are, you'll want to see them in real sunlight. My $0.02.

I went black raven, SCG interior with red belts, graphite wheels, and red calipers. Its a classic Cadillac V look, and I love it.

For you option 3 is the clear choice. You like the color the best, it has your favorite wheel color and is the only one with the top tier seats you have a strong preference for. You have indicated that you are indifferent to every other option. As a bonus, the white one is also the cheapest of the three. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

The only downside is it being out of state. But it is a new car so risk should be low. Many people here bought new from out of state.

Here are pictures of my DSM at the dealer before I picked it up. Very happy with the color and seat choice.

DSM or White. I've had so many white cars I wasn't keen on Summit, but after seeing it with CF1/2 and the bronze wheels I was sold. Cleans up well and with a good detail/ceramic there's good gloss to be had.

This is a F'ing gorgeous car. Biased with the 5vBW but wow the white on bronze with the carbon, chefs kiss

DSM is the easy choice for me. Black Raven is great for the 2 minutes it's clean right after washing/waxing it. Drove me nuts on too many previous vehicles of mine. Wheels are an easy upgrade aftermarket. Sunroofs are not moon/pano so not a super awesome thing anyway.

White may be a pedestrian color in some eyes, the devil is in the details and you can see each detail of a beautifully designed CT5-V BW pop against the Summit White....Nothing gets lost to the eyes. Easy to keep clean BTW. Best wishes with your choice, enjoy.

As for the CCB option..... if your are planning to autocross or track frequently and can pony up the extra $$ great choice, as for brake dust on a daily or weekend driver this can get solved with steel rotor option and aftermarket CarboTech 1521 pads right away. Or something similar for shoes.

Far less expensive option (steel rotors) on an expendable for performance street use. Factory OEM pads are great for track, throw them on when you are ready.

Im biased BTW. Love a lot of color options available.
