Took delivery of a 2024 CT4-V Blackwing. Dealer did not install paper plates. New plates arrived. Now what! Is there retaining nuts behind the dimples in the bumper facia to use self tapping screws, or do I drill to install nylon nuts? Dealer is clueless… lol

Assuming the same setup as my 2023 there are no retainers behind front or back plate locations. Since the rear panel is cheap junk fiber, I drilled the holes a bit larger and put in the square push-in retainers. No major expansion, but the screws wont loosen. Front is same, but the material is strong enough to just use screws without an insert

I think it's crazy that they just use self tapping screws for the plates. I ended up using a plate bracket like this for the rear: Amazon.com
With the stock hole locations, the plate barely fits under the trunk

Given there are no places in the Union where rear plates are optional, I'm not sure why these cars wouldn't come ready to mount a rear plate from the factory. Is this normally a PDI item??
