It took a week and a day to get the part and get it installed. But the new one is in and no more clunking. Note that the suspension nannies did not show any faults. It was clunking though.

Was it happening only in sport or track or also in tour? I am noticing clunking in sport and thinking of taking it in.

Did they replace both rear shocks?

Yes it was in all modes. It was the right rear shock. It sounded like a rubber mallet hitting a metal object. Did not happen under acceleration or braking. Happened when hitting bumps in the road and would resonated some too.
