Cadillac Smart Driver and Privacy Concerns

Mine came back the same way. I was pretty sure I opted out of the smart driver stuff when I took delivery but I hadn’t thought about it again since I haven’t used onstar at all and didn’t renew it after the trial period. But when I saw all of this I assumed the worst and figured they had snuck...

Anybody swapping tires/wheels for track days? TPMS question

I have a set of Apex wheels that I’m running 200TW tires on for track days and then I swap back to the stock wheels and PS4’s for daily driving. I put the official GM tire pressure sensors on the track wheels and they connected to the car without any special procedure, and it has been seamless...

    18" Aftermarket Wheels

I got a set of Apex EC7‘s that I’m using with 200TW tires for the track on my CT4VBW. They recommended running a small spacer up front and everything fits just fine. Here’s what I got:

    CT4-V What Tires

I wish we could fit a wider front tire, 255 seems a bit small for a car of this size, especially with M2s and M3s running 275s. And it would be a lot of fun to drive on track in a way that wears through the rears more quickly than the fronts, but most track day organizers frown on that 😉. This...

    CT4-V What Tires

I went with Kumho V730s on my track wheels for my 4BW and was surprised to cord the LF today on just my 3rd track day on them. I did swap them right to left multiple times to even out the wear. I used a set of these on my Veloster N last year for 8 track days and they still have more to go...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

PSA - The water bottle they give you at Spring Mountain is definitely not dishwasher safe! I was there 4/7-8 and like most everyone else who has commented here I came away quite impressed with the whole experience. I had a great time getting to run some laps, learn more about the car, and hang...

    Official Track Day Thread

I’m hoping to find a track pad option for my CT4VBW but haven’t figured anything out yet. My stock front pads gave up after two track days last fall, the pads crumbled in the center and left deposits on the rotors. I was at Spring Mountain last week and basically had the same thing with the car...

How the Spring Mountain shop sets up their 4's

Thanks, good information here. I got to track my 4 twice last fall on the track alignment with Motul RBF600 brake fluid. I’m going to be at Spring Mountain 4/7-8 and I was planning to ask the shop guys for any insights about consumables, etc. I was happy with how the stock pads felt on track but...

    Limited V-Performance Academy Days Open!!!

I was going to post this too, I just got signed up for 4/7-8. Looking forward to starting my 2023 track season getting to beat on someone else’s car 😉 for a change. I was a little disappointed with how much brake wear I got in just two track days with my 4BW this fall, so it will also be...

4BW Track Weekend – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly (with Video)

I’m planning to just stick with the track alignment. I’ve really enjoyed this car as a daily driver, and I figure if I use it as a fair weather daily plus get a the occasional track day in it will even out the inside/outside tire wear. I can do mostly backroads on my commute and I haven’t had...

4BW Track Weekend – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly (with Video)

I figured I would add my recent track experiences on to this thread. I’ve done two track days with my CT4VBW now, one at Grattan and one at Gingerman here in west Michigan. As I expected this thing is a blast on the track. The suspension, diff, PTM, etc all work together so naturally that it...

Brand new CT4-V Blackwing - blows hot air on passenger

I just brought home 6MT CT4VBW number 501 earlier this week, nice to meet the next one in line! Sorry to hear about your issue. Does it do the same thing whether you have the passenger side temperature set differently than the drivers side or if you have oth sides on “sync”?

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2022 Model Year

I just got a call from my dealer that my CT4VBW (VIN 460501) arrived this afternoon! Mine went 3800 around 5/25 so that’s a pretty quick exit from the pen. Hopefully everyone else still waiting gets good news soon too. I haven’t gotten any pictures from my salesman yet so it doesn’t quite feel...

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2022 Model Year

My CT4VBW had a TPW of 5/16 but so far had still been sitting at 3400, and I noticed a few of the other 5/16 CT4VBW’s were the same. I decided to check with Cadillac chat (first time, I’ve been trying not to obsess on this) and they told me my order is at 4000 - available to ship! Seems too good...
